Had nerve root block done in Aug.and had a really bad reaction to it.blood pressur went way up/hot flush /really BAD pain and lots more.I belive the Doc hit a nerve and am in more pain and weaker leg then before i had it done.Think i had a reaction to whatever they injected [cortisone?] but this was poo pooed at the hospital.I have had this done twice befor at diff hospitals and have had no problems.Has any one else had a outcome like this?

    Hi I'm a 32 yr old woman. I'be  had two epidural nerve root blocks. I got very hot, high bp etc. I also had a steroid injection in to a tendon and got a steroid flare which sounds very similar. Maybe look it up? It can be very bad but should settle with a some time. Not diagnosing but your symptoms sound familiar. Melissa

      Thanks for advice.my own GP and hospital doc both said that they did not think it was a reaction to injection but to the pain.It took about 3 weeks for blood pressure to come down , but the weak leg and pain is no better.

      In the UK they tend blaim the patient for theses types symptoms. I know. Keep persevering to find a Dr who will reassess you and respect your opinion about your own body.
