YES I know what you mean .I had a lovely day Saturday with two friends.
Since then I have had 3 days in pain in bed off work.
I have tried to pace myself but I find it very difficult.
Take care everyone. X

Learning the technique to pace yourself is a challenge, especially when you are not used to it. With fibro we have good days and bad days. When it's a good day that's when I suppose we have that extra boost of energy thinking that more can be done without realising the after affects. We all do, but don't beat yourself over it.
I know it's easier said than done the best way I have found is to just achieve one thing at a time and to be proud of the acievements one has madde. Take a day of rest, then the next day achieve another challenge.
Remember to try and stay calm and positive and most of all enjoy the moment you are in.
Take care and gentle hugs. x

I can count on two hands and one foot how many times I have had a reprieve from fully blown full body Fibro.. and I'm lucky if it lasts 1 day. Oh the pure bliss, the joy of the reprieve. Don't get me wrong I still have spinal and head issues from my MVA (car accident)... But the reprieve from the chronic pain is just 'Heaven'... It's in the moments, minutes and seconds that I am reminded I am actually alive, even feeling well. The joy! It's then I feel I'm given a mental boost to say, you can do it, you can get through the next months again to then be able to feel the magic of being 'fibro pain free'...
I live in New Zealand. It is our Winter now. South Island getting a bit of a blanketing of snow in regions that rarely see snow. Just for now I am in the North Island for 3 months, house and dog sitting for my cousin and her partner whilst they are travelling. It is a warmer climate here which I am most grateful of. I have lived in a few locations over the years in good ol'e NZ... Here we do have the luxury of a variety of seaside beaches, mountains, Glaciers all within 2 to 4hrs drive... One can drive the whole width East to West of the South in 4hrs and under...Winter it can be difficult like now Chains are required on tires.
I have never been to England. NZ being a newer colony, other than our original inhabitants most of us here are descended from English, Scot, Irish, and other European ethnic groups. My self, a good mix of Scot, Irish, English, Czech/Moravian/Polish, All awesome Pioneering stock! lol...
I often wonder how many folk back then suffered as we do with our beastie freind Fibro.. No-doubt a good number. Of course back then no knowledge of the condition at all.
