Pcos and irregular periods

Since the age of 11 I started my periods, by age 14, they became irregular to the stage where I'd have non within a whole year.

I've had tests after tests, ultrasounds etc. and now I only have 2/3 periods per year...

When I do have them, the pain is crippling and reducing me to tears.

As I've said, I have pcos, but besides advice about my situation, I'd like to know, as I'm so irregular, and not having the normal monthly cycle of egg release, are the dead eggs staying inside my body unhealthily.?
