PCOS ladies, I need your advice

Okay, so I was diagnosed wit PCOS when I was 15 years old and I was told that I would never be able to conceive naturally, which honestly didn't bother me at the time because I didn't want kids.
Now I have a lovely man in my life and we want to start a family of our own. He understands that we may never be abe to conceive naturally due to my periods being all over the place... but I haven't had a period since 27-29th October!
My periods haven't been this late since I was at my biggest, and I'm nowhere near my old weight. I'm actually a little anxious about seeing the doctor or taking a HPT because a part of me probably couldn't handle another negative test or a phantom pregnancy.
So my question is, have any of you had pregnancies without many symptoms? And when I finally pluck up the courage to see a doctor, what the flip do I say? Knowing me I'll babble and not make any sense! Is there anythino I can do in the meantime?

Why not buy your own quality pregnancy test kit and see what this says before you visit your doctor. If this says negative then your being going about having no period since October. if it says positive then you can ask about a repeat test.
Hope you get the news your hoping for

Thank you so much for replying
Yeah I've had a few phantom pregnancies before, one when I was 18 and another quite recently, around July last year!
I'm going to buy a HPT today just to see what the outcome is, so I'll keep you updated with this progress.

I actually experienced what the doctors thought was a phantom pregnancy with a miscarraige. They were not absolutely sure because by the time I arrived bleeding with a fever of 103.2 the 10 week old fetus could have already come out. There was a lot of blood. I do know what a phantom pregnancy is and it does happen in a certain percentage of women. It is when the growth sac is formed but the egg doesn't implant so your body produces hormones and you gain pregnancy weight just like you would if you were actually pregnant. Except there is no fetus!
I was shocked when I learned that it could have happened to me, but then again not really shocked because I also have about 3 cysts and 2 small fibroids. I also was in the hospital 20 years ago when a cyst the size of a grapefruit burst on my left ovary.
I would go and get a pregnancy test at the store too. If it is positive then I would ask for an Ultrasound immediately so that you can get the best care and chances for a healthy baby as possible.
Good luck. You are not alone in your struggle.

HPT came back negative, but because I did it late at night I'm going to try again in the morning and if it's another negative one I'll book myself in to see a doctor.
So hopefully I'll have some answers soon! Xx
