PCOS or something else?

I've been working with endocrinology for almost a year. I just had my thyroid removed in may and I also had some other abromal test results.

My androgen levels are elevated and I have insulin resistance. The doctors think that I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome.

I do have a lot of the symptoms; however every time I've been to the doctor or have had a pelvic ultrasound, my ovaries are normal.

Could my abnormal levels mean something else?

I am not diabetic and I was tested for cuschings disease and that test was negative.

I'm a 24-year-old female. My cycle has always been normal as well.

If anyone has any ideas please post and let me know! Thank you!

By Androgen level do you mean Testosterone or DHEA?

I think it's the second one, my testosterone level is normal

DHEA can be elevated due to OTC supplements, stress, or medical conditions such as Bi-polar disorder.
