Aww hone you can do it!!! May I ask, how are you trying to lose weight? If you are trying any very low calorie diets etc they can be dangerous and wont work. In fact, long term there is no 'diet' that is going to work, because you lose the weight, stop it, and pile it back on.

You need to change your lifestyle for good if you want the weight off. That means don't deprive yourself of the snacks completely. Also, get exercising, that will boost your weightloss significantly. Also, see if your doctors surgery has a weight loss nurse. They will be able to come up with a plan that suits you, they will provide moral support, and they may be able to get you super cheap access to a gym if they do the exercise referral scheme. I get in the gym for £1 each time (I go once a week) and they have a personal trainer on hand to teach you how to use everything, come up with an exercise plan, teach you how to exercise without hurting yourself and how to do good stretches at the end so you aren't too sore the next day, and can help you exercise arond any injuries or illnesses you might have.

There is plenty of support in place if you know where to look. Also, if you live in the uk and are on facebook type in HOOP UK, it is a charity recgonised by the NHS (that is where I first heard of them, in my doctors surgery) who help you lose weight healthily. It stands for Helping Overcome Obeisity Problems. It is a fantastic place for support and you can get loads of great ideas.

I hope some of these help you on your journey. They have a valid reason for wanting your BMI lower.. the bigger you are the more likely you are to experience problems in pregnancy and in labour, so it really is in your best interest to lose the weight if you can. But if you put too much pressur on yourself you may be setting yourself up to fail, so come in here and have a shout and a scream whenever you need to vent and we will do the best we can do help. I hope I was able to offer some good advice for you. xxx

Thank you so much, yes I didn't expect so much information lol. It's just so hard my OH can eat like a horse and all I have to do it look a cake and av put 5lb on lol, I have a dietion but tbh she isn't much help, I try to eat as little and often I don't cal count or anything like that. I would love to have the confidence to go to the gym, I always think people look at my wobbly bits wobble ha. But your advise does mean a lot thank you smile

Sorry I do go on sometimes!!!! Ah they joys of PCOS right!!! My sister is the same, eats awfully and she is a twig, and I barely eat at all and I am... well let's just say bigger than you lol.

It is great that you aren't calorie counting, that will help reduce stress. As for the gym, I used to feel exactly the same. I was extremely self concious but if you go when the personal trainer is there, you have loads of other people there in exactly the same boat as you. I hate having sweat on my face so I go in with my fan and you see me waving the thing (or my exercise card if I forget my fan) in front of my face! I even wen on the treadmil with my walking stick lol. But you have people far bigger than you going, and people in wheelchairs going... trust me people are too focussed on themselves to look around. And the weirdest thing is that 1) I started to enjoy it (madness!) and 2) My fitness improved really quickly. I went from walking for 5 minutes on the treadmil to jogging for 15 minutes in just 6 weeks going for an hour and a half each Friday. If you feel able, I would definitely give it a go. You haven't got anything to lose...except those last few punds!!! xxx

No you don't go on, it's nice that we all have each other to speek too, the lists are never ending with PCOS haha it's nice to speek to someone in the same boat tbh I am deffo going to try going to the gym tho, and you are doing so well yourself keep it up smile

That is great news!!! If you have a friend to go with, that might make you more comfortable but to be honest I don't want my best friend (a tiny tiny size 6) making me look bad! Lol! And I get so wrapped up in what I am doing I wouldn't notice her if she was there anyway lol.

I hope it works for you. Exercise releases endorphins so you should get a 'feel good' hit after. The only thing I would suggest is to learn how to stretch properly when you are done. I barely ache at all the next day because I stretch well after xxx
