I'm so sorry to hear that you're in hospital with repeat emboli. This must be so frustrating for you at your age. Have they put you back on the enoxaparin injections? I send you my best wishes for a quick recovery and the strength to endure your health ordeal.  Have a peaceful day. X

My resting heart rate reached 140 bpm about three weeks ago (if I remember correctly) I was breathing with assisted oxygen. I was concerned at the time because I have narrowed nasal passages and so breath with nose and mouth to compensate. My breathing method may not have absorbed the regulated oxygen feed to my nostrils. I can not recall if my breathing inputs were assessed.

I recall after check up about a week ago, my resting pulse rate is in region of 100 bpm.

For some reason I am experiencing a loss sense of time. I think it is a selective sense of memory due to elevated adrenaline levels and basic survival process.

I have or had DVT in my leg and it did not swell or balloon. I recollect in best order. I was aware of a cramp feeling during march/may 2014 (approx 4-6 weeks) and thought nothing of it. Then one day I had a toothache, and so had it removed at the dentist. The next day, I felt tired walking for 20 minutes. I came home and had what I thought was a panic attack. I tried to remain calm and reach for a plastic bag, to re breath into. The fast breathing passed. I made a visit with my GP and was initially assesd as having a reoccurance of asthma. The day after, walking became weak and low energy, I struggle to walk up stairs without being out of breath. I knew something was not right. I went back to my GP and found out my blood oxygen levels were lower than expected. The correct recommendation was made to me and I want to the Medical Assessment Unit. After an xray and ultrasound scan behind my right knee I was wheel chaired back to the MAU. A little scary at the time as I was responding to the technicians and receptionists facial expressions and body language.

I was given a heparin injection and in the stomach (stings but its fine) and  rivaroxaban and allowed to go home. The next morning I woke up and could not breathe properly. Extremely light  breaths (imagine slow egg cup breathes), the thought through my mind were to not breath as it was less painful. I was nearly inanimate. My wife tried to give me some water in a cup with a straw. I could not drink as the water nearly chocked me. Time to call the ambulance. 999. When the paramedics came, I think the did an ECG test and found nothing to be concerned about my heart. I turned over and on my hands and knees found it easier to breath. I sat up and was was fine. I got dressed and went to the hospital in the ambulance. The gave me some more tests, co-coldamol and I was fine to go home. Three/four days...i was feeling a lot better...
