Leg was in a brace for 7 weeks. My skin is now scaley and peeling. Looks gross! Any advice on how to make it look normal fast?

I find baby lotion to be very good for my skin because it doesn't contain lots of extra additives. My aunt likes olive oil for her skin and for removing eye makeup, too!

Anything containing glycerin softens skin well.

If you are allowed to bathe, a warm tub bath followed by a brisk towel helps with dead skin. Then you can put on lotion once your skin is dry.

I hope you feel better very soon!??

Hi tammy. My skin is dry and scaly too. I live in Sydney and I am using Nutricare Body Lotion by Redwin. Any product with arnica oil is good too! Sun on your skin for 10 mins (between 09:00am and 10:00 am and after 3:00pm may be helpful too. Best wishes Lyn

Tammy, you didn't mention whether there was a scar/scab involved. If you are talking about just plain dry skin, I recommend an emolient like Eucerin. Not sure what country you live in, but in the USA it's available nearly everywhere. It's thicker than most lotions and really has some lasting power. A physician's assistant recently recommended it for me when I went in for skin problems. Oils are nice, but I don't always feel like they soak in deep as well. This stuff is great! And I wonder why I waited so long to use it.

I've read a few things that said Eucerin. My husband is getting me some today. No open injuries. Just very dry/peeling akin from my injury. I soaked my foot last night for anout 20 minutes. That really helped.
