Does anyone suffer from this? I have a dull ache in my lower abdomen. It feels heavy and I also have a burning sensation. It starts off not to bad then gets worse throughout the day. No problems when at test. I ve Googled and stumble upon this and symptoms match this syndrome

I am so glad I stumbled upon this forum, because I had been having similar symptoms and just did not know what was going on. I just recently had an ultrasound that showed enlarged veins that possibly suggests pelvic congestion syndrome. I did not know this was even a thing!

i have struggled with lower abdominal pain for a year now. My periods were unbearable and constant. In the past 5 years I have had two c sections as well as a cone biopsy to remove some cancerous cells. I thought some of these procedures may have played a part. I was starting to feel hopeless when my gynocologist said she thought that I should just have a hysterectomy. I am 38. I didnt love the idea, but she said she thought I had extreme endometreosis and since I was done having children it would be the best route. So we booked the surgery. Something in my gut told me to get a second, opinion. AND a third. The third doctor said to take a step back and put a camera in and see what was really going on. So i cancelled the hysterectomy and moved forward with the third doctors plan. When she did that, she found that the walls of my abdomen were rippled instead of smooth as they should be and thats a sign of PCS. Also, she noted my uterus was spongy and not firm which can indicate adnomyosis.

She wants to send me to a vein specialist and see what they can do.

Never in the last year did my other doctor even mention this as an option, so the best thing that i can say is keep searching for the cause and keep being your own advocate!

so i went under microscopic exploratory surgery when they did my uterine ablation back in october of last year because i was suffering from horrible chronic pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding and on top of having cervical displasia because my paps keep coming back abnormal. well luckily i dont have cancer but it is pre cancer but stage 1, so i got to go get a pap done every 6 months. Anyway i was diagnosed because of that exploratory surgery and im in constant pain everyday it gets worse throughout the day and he said the only option was a hysterectomy and bc of everything else going on I'm good with that but i dont think it should be the only option for other women. Does it hurt worse when your period cramps? i would def go to the doctor for sure ! when is the last time you had a pap because those are my symptoms on top of constant bloating , heavy discharge still to this day. i hurt really bad today thats why i tried doing research to better understand. I am also rapidly gaining weight after the surgery but i was gaining before so i think it has something to do with weight gain also . But, yes! def make appointment with your gynecologist Feel better! Im calling first thing Monday to make a appointment because i cant stand it any longer. Some days are better than others but its still constant pain and having weight-gain and heavy discharge I'm like done!
