Pelvic pain

Hi all. Was wondering if anyone has experienced pelvic pain, mainly when sitting? It's a dull ache that makes sitting for any long periods uncomfortable (I work from home). I've spoken to the dr and am booked for bloods and internal next week. I'm being referred for an ultrasound too. After 18 months they have finally acknowledged my symptoms are perimenopausal, but this pelvic pain is a new one. Thanks in advance.

Could it be sciatica pain? Please do check for that. It is an issue for most of us working from home and sitting for longer periods than if we were in the office. Getting water, coffee, go speak to someone - all made us getting up and walking a bit. Now it could be several hours before we really need to get up.

I thought of sciatica, but always thought that was more of a shooting pain rather than an ache?

It starts (at least for me) with ache and then if you don't manage it with exercises to loosen the nerve - or as it is called nerve glide, then it goes over to be more of a shooting pain.

After having a flare-up many times starting in 2013, I recognize the symptoms early enough and do my exercises. For me they always start with stiffness, pain in calves, down back of leg rather than shooting pain.

Hope you get better soon. Any pain, more so pelvic / back pain can be a real bummer!
