Yes as I went through when I had my open myomectomy back in february this year. I am now 7/8 post surgury. You will feel some tenderness, especially around the scar, try and massage your scar and the muscles, if you feel up to it and if the abdomen allows you. It will help with reducing the swelling and building those core muscles back up again. As part of your recovery, if you are an active person, try yoga and pilates.. to help build or rebuild your core.. remember we have had MAJOR surgery in that area, so our nerves, muscles and tissues have been pulled and stretched.. overtime, and its not a race, we need to build that core back up, I believe!
You will be fine - how many fibriods did you have removed?

i had two large pedunculated fibroids 14cm and 9cm and 5 other smaller ones removed. i appreciate your advise perhaps i need to do some gentle exercise.

your fibriods are of significant size. I had upto 30 fibriods removed with a large cyst removed. Nonetheless, I suggest the exercise, massaging and diet, but it seems diet, as i am researching, has little impact. Fibriods do not discriminate!

Hi. I believe its normal because i went through the same as well. I had my surgery in March. I still have dull ache sometimes as well especially when i stress my body with physical activities.Give you body time to heal. The body needs time.

Hi,
I had an open myomectomy four weeks ago and started feeling pain down there two weeks in.
Not sure if the pain is in the rectum or in the uterus. When i woke up this morning it hurt a lot then I passed gas and felt a bit better but the pain is still there. I'm not constipated, I have bowel movements twice a day.
The only issue I can think of if I started having acid reflux after I took iron tablets on week 1 so the doctor told me to stop. I replaced with liquid iron which normally doesnt give me gastritis.
Did anyone else feel pain down there? The scar does not hurt.
