Pelvic ultrasound

I have a large knot in my left groin area right near my panty line and my primary doctor thinks that it was my ovaries. I had a pelvic ultrasound and there were multiple fibroids in my uterus and a small ovarian cyst in my Right ovary BUT nothing was seen on the left ovary where the knot is because of bowel gas. I'm already aware of the fibroids in my uterus but my obgyn told me not to worry about them since I had no problems with my period....ok.....so how will they find out what's causing the knot in my left groin....my appointment is not until next week. Has anyone else experienced this?
