Pemphigis Vulgaris

This is new to me and kind of nervous about what is happening. In November I started with a rash in my groin area, which was the only thing going on for a month or so. In the middle of December i got the flu, and along with it itching torso and back. In January I started getting mouth blisters and my scalp has what you would call a yellow hard surface that wont go away and it is not safe to pick because it is just sores and what looks like infection.

I got a diagnosis and am on steroids and that seems to stop the spread and a lot of the pain from blister and scabs growing on back and torso. I am in the process of taking tests before putting me on what I would assume to be my daily medication. The doctor made it seem like this might be a long haul. My providers are great and are moving quick and getting specialists involved and thinking steps ahead.

I just want to know if anyone else has dealt with this, I guess I am hoping for reassurance that this will get better. I haven't found on this except humorously this seems like a condition dogs get because it shows up all the time when I do search!
