penis & constipation problems

Hi,
I appreciate any suggestions as this is highly irregular.
I have not had sex this year, and not masturbated in a couple of months. I used to have sex and/or masturbate daily. I am also urinating a lot and don't feel that I fully empty my bladder.
I am 37, male, and very fit.
I have also been constipated for months after a bad flu.
The doctor results are all clear and the next step is a colonoscopy which is expensive - with a long waiting period.
My penis feels so different lately. For months like it is numb. It feels like it has shrunk, for instance, it used to naturally hang left, but now it is shrunken so it faces forward like a button. I also still awake with erections but they are softer than before and not painful, but not pleasurable either.
My scrotum gets itchy sometimes (and red) and around my foreskin can feel painful like it is cut (but there is no physical damage that I can see.)
Any ideas? This is very embarassing and concerning.
thank you

I'm not sure that constipation and low libido are linked, though drinking more fluids could potentially help with both.
Did your endocrine levels get checked, in particular your testosterone level? Have you considered one of the ED drugs, maybe daily Cialis? You're a bit young for that, but it could potentially fix the problem.

Unsure about endocrine levels specifically. Doctor said they ran all general tests and all ok.
The challenge with fluids is that I drink about 2 litres of water a day - generally BUT because of urine frequency, I avoid drinking in certain situations (like before a big meeting or flight)
Not after ED drugs, after diagnosis/understanding of the issue.
Seems bizarre.

2 litres of water sounds ok, but what do you mean by "urine frequency"? How often do you need to pee?
If you have your blood test results, then have a look to see if testosterone or free testosterone level is mentioned. You can check online for normal levels for your age, but make sure that you're comparing the right units.
I'd certainly consider ED drugs in your position. If you were having sex of masturbating daily, and you haven't done either in the last two months, then something is wrong. ED drugs could potentially be treating the symptoms rather than the underlying cause, but it may not be easy to diagnose what that is.

Did your doctor specifically test your testosterone and estradiol levels? Most won't /don't unless they're an endocrinologist and you request it. I went for years with low T and high E2 levels. I can't speak to the constipation issue, but some of the other symptoms definitely sound like a T issue.

Hi @thankyou888,
I know this thread is from last year, but for the past ten months I've been experiencing constant numbness/decreased sensitivity on the head of my penis as well as issues with constipation/bowel habits. How are you doing now? Any improvement and did you undergo a thorough medical evaluation? My symptoms don't seem to want to budge and I've been to numerous doctors and specialists at this point and been tested for multiple possible causes, but no cause found.
For me onset of symptoms was sudden, out of nowhere! I'm just trying to figure out what happened and if I have any hope of having my body go back to normal. This has been rough, to say the least! Please let me know, thanks. I hope you are doing better.
