Penis foreskin cracks during sex, peeling skin, dots and spots [documented]

Hi,

First of all thank you for your time and sorry for the long post,

I'm a healthy 29y old male and in the past 8 months I've been having some problems when having sex. Around February I've noticed some cracks on my foreskin image, at the time i didn't thought much of it, and it eventually healed up, after that, every time i had my foreskin would always crack in the same spots with the same pattern, and it started to appear even more cracks imageimage, when they happen during sex, i can clearly feel them and it stings a little, but after the act, i would clean it with lukewarm water and i would only feel an occasional sting or 2, and, along with the cracks, i also feel the area where the cracks are very very raw and sensitive to the touch, the rest of the penis is fine. In the healing process, after 1 or 2 days, my skin would feel very dry, accompanied by some peeling skin where the cracks where imageimageimage, that area of the skin, eventually they would heal up, but the skin in that area looks a bit darker than the rest image, the dryness i would fight it with some moisturizer.

In all this months I've tried some approaches to tackle this without success, i used a cleaning solution with neutral PH and no fragrances, anti candida fungal ointment, topical steroid cream, fusidic acid and also elidel, already went to 2 different dermatologists, and the problem still persists, with a down side, that now, it seems to be getting worse as some dots started to appear on the glad imageimageimageimageimage and also on the foreskin area imageimage. Along with all of the this, the redder area of the skin sometimes when is dryer it also looks shinier. I'm posting here in hope of some advice of someone who has gone through the same thing. Before all of this, i had a normal sex life with no problems whatsoever.

Best regards, Thank you,

Thanks for the reply Joe62800. Your responses are really appreciated here since you took the initiative and are now one of the few people who know for a fact what they're dealing with. Can you keep us updated on the treatment they prescribe to you and how it ends up working? I hope it clears up quick for you! I posted a link to Amazon in my last post but a mod deleted it because of the link. woops. What I was going to ask if you think something like "smoxl" would work good for you? It can be found on amazon.

Hey man, of course, I'll keep this forum updated as soon as I have a prescription for treatment from the urologist! Thanks for your words mate, I appreciate it. I have no idea yet, perhaps that's the kind of thing I'll be prescribed but I don't want to speculate without the advice from the urologist. As I said though, I'll keep everyone posted on what happens next.

That makes sense and sounds good. I'm in the process of getting a dermatologist appointment, ill keep things updated here as well!

It would be really good to get a couple more of us to get biopsy's so we can compare results, to see if this is a common theme.

I have visited my doctor once more and insisted to be sent to another skin-specialist. Going to get a biopsy done, one way or another. Will of course share results once it's done.

For those who have gone to the doctor already about this would you recommend I start with a dermatologist or urologist? I already went to my primary care physician awhile back and their recommend treatment was to just wait for it to heal but that has proven unsuccessful.

My experience has been GP to dermatologist to urologist. I hope that helps!

Hi guys, got in to see my urologist today. Mentioned everything so far. He said it appears to be chronically inflamed and gave me a prescription for Clobetasol 0.05%. This is a steroid cream and I asked about skin thinning and he stated it shouldn't thin the affected skin unless it was used for months and months of use. He states that a biopsy is possible if the issue is not resolved by this cream.

    I have now given up.

I've met multiple doctors so far. First one told me this is simply a skin-trauma since my medical cirmumcision i did 3 years ago because of balanit which they think was lichen sclerosus. But it was 3 years ago, and the skin looks exactly like it does in this thread, and rips up from the most easy kind of friction.

Second doctor claims that it is probably lichen sclerosus again. I've tried the strong steroidcream but it doesn't do s**t. I've also tried fungi-cream and protopic (which has the same attributes as a steroidcream but no skin thinning). The problem for me is that now it looks like I can't use protopic anymore (it didnt work anyway, tried it for 2 weeks and it litterally did nothing), because protopic, as well as any other immune-suppressant, increases the chance of getting herpes (if you already have it in your system of course, which i happen to have).

I have asked the doctors about a biopsy, but their opinion is that it is impossible to determine what it could be since the skin tissue is scarred in that area, and they think that the test will just come back as "unidentified" because it will be impossible to tell the difference between the scar tissue and something else, which is why they won't take a biopsy of me.

So...I have given up. Might have to live like this from now on. The cream that I have found works best for me is something called Propyless. It's simply a moisterizer, but with some weak anti-fungi properties, which is nice.

Goodluck to you all who find this thread. I hope you get a biopsy or that the creams that the doctors prescribe to you works!

Hey Jay, I'm sorry about the negative result so far. What I will tell you is that you have to go back to the doctor and tell them what you have tried and that it doesn't work. I have several friends in the medical field that have told me that you have to keep returning to the doctor until you get a solution that works. A lot of people give up on doctors because they don't fully understand the medical field. Also doctors are all different and will thus all have a different opinions. The end result is that if your condition is not resolved, you absolutely must go back and ask for another solution. If you don't go back, the doctors will simply assume that what they prescribed worked for you. You can also ask your family doctor for another referral to another urologist/ dermatologist. I do not believe that this issue is beyond the comprehension of modern medicine, I simply believe that it is a much less common condition and requires the correct diagnoses and treatment for each of us. DON'T GIVE UP, stay on top of your doctors, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

do not give up, as I have been dealing with this problem since May I found out that an anti-fungal cream helped a loooot, I also used a cream which is Exenat. After a while it comes back but not as a wound but only a small change in color. I would recommend you to use Exenat for a while maybe you will get better. Have faith 😃

      Hey buddy,

I've been following this thread for over a year, so I'm going to give you the best answer we have so far to this condition. You need to make an appointment with a urologist/ dermatologist and get tested for Lichen Sclerosis. In the meantime you should ask for a prescription for Pimafucort (or other brand containing the same ingredients). They will also likely prescribe you with a high concentration of coitosteroid cream. While waiting for any of the above to happen, use polysporin to help heal the cuts and to keep them free from bacteria. In the shower use Cetaphil and make sure to dry your penis afterward including under the foreskin (if you can). Let us know how your biopsy goes if you can get one.
