Penis Issues - Concerned

Hello,

I have been having health issues since the beginning of this year, a multitude of things but the most concerning being Weight Loss, Decreased Appetite and Persistent Fatigue. Doctors can't figure out what's wrong and I'm terrified now that this might be cancer that started in my penis. Around 2 weeks ago, I started experiencing pain while urinating as well as a dull ache in my scrotum. Around this time my glans started to become very irritated, my GP prescribed some antifungal cream as he suspected Balanitis but it did not work. He then prescribed antibacterial gel which I have just started yesterday so cannot comment on how effective that is yet. This isn't STI related as I am married and have not been sexually active recently as my wife is recovering from surgery.

Whilst looking at my glans a few days ago when applying cream I noticed a small lump at the base of my penis shaft, I have never seen it before. When flacid (image 1) it seems to be a pea sized lump but when more erect (image 2) it seems to 'stretch out' I think. It isn't painful and can be moved side to side but always moves back into place. I plan to ask for a referral to Urology but can anyone comment on what this might be? Should I be worried?

Thanks.

Just a small update - I visited my GP earlier about this, he wasn't even slightly concerned. He said it looks like an enlarged vein.

How are your glands? are they dry ?

@t74530 do you mean my glans? If so, I've been using creams and gels twice a day recently so it's well lubricated but before that it looked very dry and irritated.

Update - Seen a Urologist about this. He examined the lump for about 5 minutes and said it looks like Mondor's Disease and that the lump/mass is where the vein has enlarged.

Is it at risk of any issues? I have an enlarged vein also that shows up only erect. Never asked my doctor.

He told me it doesn't need treatment but the condition has been associated with some pain during elections and if that happens to come back and see him.
