Penis odd bumps/change of texture?

Posted , 2 users are following.

About a year ago I noticed some lighter patches on the glans of my penis . I went to the gp and got told it was nothing to be concerned about. The white patches then progressed to small tiny bumps close to the edge, which the gp disregarded as pearly papules. However, from my understanding they only appear in rows around the edge of the glans.

The glans is now about half covered in these supposed papules (which seem to be a change in the skin as opposed to some sort of growth). I also have close to no feelig in the affected areas. It’s almost numb.

I have attached photos. Could someone please give me their opinion? I have booked a appointment with a dermatologist.

I see the photos now. You don't say whether you've tried any home treatments eg moisturising, anti-fungal or antibacterial creams. In your position, I would have tried these (one at a time) to see if there was any improvement. I wouldn't be worried about changing anything with my partner or when masturbating as I doubt it's anything contagious or pre-cancerous. I sympathise with the change in sensitivity as that must have diminished your sexual pleasure considerably. Age is a factor here as, at 67 now, I'm finding sexual pleasure is much less intense than as a young man. However, I don't know your age so don't know if this a factor for you.

Do let us know what they say. As your gp seems not to have succeeded in reassuring you, I commend you for persisting in getting the dermatology appointment. Good luck with it and do let us know their findings.

I applied hydrozole for a few weeks and that did not do anything.

      I’m 21 haha

Well at your age these things are much more important than for someone like me!

Hope you get some good answers soon.
