Penis skin problem

I have a problem with the skin, when I was younger(around 13-15y/o) I masturbated dry causing my skin to crack. At first i was not that bad(or at least I did not notice it) but when I got older it got really noticeable and got me worried. Is the damage permanent or can anything be done to somehow fix it?

I started using skin protecting cream with Vitamin A after a noticed it more but do not see any improvements. (not prescribed by doctor)

(I'm 21 y/o now)
