also i might add that the bump is raised ever so slightly. i think its just the skin reparing as there is no pain or irritation

I would try using some Liquid Antiseptic on this - apply 2 or 3 times daily for up to 4 days and see if it heals it .....

hello, it is healing slowly and the bump is almost non existent now.
it seems it may have broken the skin when i tried to pop it. the skin looks similar colour until a light is shon upon it then it is slighty more red. only a tiny bit. will that heal over time?

Yes in time it should heal so that you do not notice where this has been.
If you also have antiseptic cream for treating cuts and suchlike on the skin change to using a tiny bit of that after another 2 days or so - the wound should be completely healed after 7 to 10 days

thank you. the bump has gone down more and the skin is returning to a normal colour again. i know skin down there takes some time to heal

Do not try to pop it - simply use the liquid antiseptic again. What you may have going on is an ingrown hair
What you need to ensure is that any infection present is drawn out, so again, you may need to persist with the liquid antiseptic for sometime
