hey man, thats perfectly normal!!! that little bit of skin is called your frelenium and its absolutely nothing to worry about. when you're circumcised this is removed which is why you don't see you on circumcised men. some men who aren't circumcised have it removed as it might tear at times. the dry skin is just dry skin i'd imagine, without knowing more.

I think the procedure that would best suit this is for a condition known as Frenulum Breve - search for

It does NOT require Circumcision and ANY Medical Professional that suggests you need to get FULLY Circumcised is completely wrong!

In terms of the dry skin, cracks and the little cuts you experience this may be a separate penile condition, or simply be caused by a lack of knowledge as to how you achieve the best possible Penile Hygiene regime - I will detail how to do this at the bottom of my reply ... it is not aimed specifically at you, but contains general rules to follow ....

In terms of what to do for your condition, the best people to go to would be at a Specialist Sexual Health Service - there are Walk-in Centres such as GUM Clinics here in the UK, or many cities across the world have Walk-in Sexual Health Services you can go to for free.

Naturally, many young men are anxious about showing their penis to other people - if this is the case for you ALL Medical professionals probably see dozens of Male and Female genitals every week, so, seeing another one will make no special deal of it for them. What you have is a condition that needs to be corrected so get it fixed as soon as possible ...... Once you have tried the Penile Hygiene details I specify below, or you have other issues, or simply want to let us know how you are getting on, then simply update this forum post .......

    Penile Hygiene

The best approach is not to use ANY SOAP on the Glans (head) - wash with water only EVERY time you have urinated, after sexual arousal, and ejaculation. As you are not circumcised, protect the Glans of your penis every time you take a shower by drawing the foreskin as far forward as you can, then wash everywhere else, thoroughly rinse off all the gels / shampoo and suchlike, then expose your glans wash it with the water only using the inside of your hand, then each time you have washed it you must make sure it is 100% dry immediately afterwards.

After you have put this in place and you still have the situation going on you need to look at what else your penis is coming into contact with on a fairly regular basis.  The likely suspects are:-

    • any chemical compounds such as skin cream / lotions, baby oil, oil based lubes, and even adverse effects to things like particular washing powders you wash your underwear in ....

could i still have sex with out it removed, can i use a condom and with out one?

The risk you have is that the skin will suddenly give way on the bottom of the head of your penis - this will be more likely if you are masturbating vigorously or having sex with someone. Believe me, if your penis is erect at the time that such an occurrence should happen there will be a great deal of blood and you may end up at a Hospital Emergency Department.

If this were me, I would want to get it sorted now, not only for this reason, but it is likely to be preventing the normal lengthening-out process that the rest of your penile shaft would otherwise achieve.

Don't take the risk - you have a full life of sexual pleasures to look forward to - if you go forward with your penis as it is now you will always have the huge uncertainty of what your penis will do in any sexual situation .....

This is a frenuluar breve. If it doesnt bother you during sex or masterbation then theres no need to take care of it. If not you need to go to a urologist and it's a relatively simple surgery and relatively painless sp long as you dont try to masterbate or have sex while its healing. Good luck!

so if i have the surgery that will be it. will i still be able to have my foreskin or will it need to be removed. thanks

The surgical technique for this is known as Frenuloplasty - in comparison to circumcision, it is relatively straight-forward and you retain all the positive aspects of still having your foreskin .....
