Performance Anxiety

Hi. 38M. Has anyone here ever used Viagra (or something similar) to combat performance anxiety in the bedroom? I've been having intermittent erection issues and feel it may help on the occasions when I feel anxious or my brain is overthinking. Recently I couldn't get enough of an erection with one girl, and so could do with the confidence boost next time we meet so it doesn't become a major issue and increase pressure even further. Once I get going, I tend to be ok. In general, I'm in good shape and don't watch pornography, so I think it's mainly anxiety-based.

Don't watch porn? I'm sorry but men masturbate and watch porn regardless of relationship status; married or not. It's tough to believe otherwise. Anyway, just try viagra instead of asking since it's marketed at performance issues of all sorts. Yes it works.

I've watched porn regularly in the past, but not currently as I feel it's desensitising and affects my erections. I sometimes wonder if it's still having an impact.

it would say its definitely anxiety related..
the little boy inside me is screaming "Waylon take the viagra and smash the granny out of her" at least she'll know you have it in your locker,
however my more mature side is saying find the right person and things like this become more natural, getting into the habit of taking viagra regularly can cause phsycological dependency, so id say take it on the odd occasion,
defo would say take it the next time : )

This is my concern: taking it once, having an awesome time, and then becoming psychologically dependent on it. Or... I'm hoping it boosts my confidence enough so I don't need to use it next time. A bit of a gamble I suppose. Thanks for the advice.

Yes.. it's related to anxiety. It's good that you are looking into other options. Spouse has this and doesn't want to do anything about it.

Why won't he do anything about it?

Who knows.... After we had kids, I thought he turned gay-- you know what I mean--- sex stopped. i was very hurt at this time. Perhaps, he was embarrassed I don't know as he never wanted to talk about it. Then over the years I just kinda figured he was 'A-sexual'...He is highly anxious and stressed so I'm sure it has something to do with it. So I think it's great that your trying to find a solution!! : ) Best of luck

i would never use viagra at all.
id get to the bottom of the erection issues and see if anything medical is causing it if not just try and relax and let nature take its course
