Peri menopause.......

Hello lovely ladies!!

Have any of you experienced digestive issues during peri menopause? The past three months for me have been dreadful.....I just can't stop burping all the time; its like there is just so much gas in me. I've seen a specialist and he told me not to worry about it however it just will not stop. Any suggestions on how to relieve this?

I also have terrible pain in my neck; shoulders and ribs; and such tight muscles; have been seeing a physiotherapist however it just does not help.

Wishing you a lovely evening and all the best for 2020.

sorry to hear you have digestive issues as well; glad that the probiotics are helping you. I take a probiotic daily however it no longer helps.

Wishing you all the best in the New Year.

I have digestive issues too. Lots of gas, no matter what I eat. I take all sorts of over the counter meds, not helping much. Been countless times to my doctor. Had scans, which shows lots of abdominal gas. This has been going on for 5 years. My period has stop since six months now. Not sure if it's gonna come back or not. I'm 53. This menopause does so much things to our bodies. It's so frustrating.

I hope you feel better soon.

yes i get this and wind, and a 'washing machine stomach' with lots of gurgling but my biggest problem is loose stools - pretty much every day, it really upsets me - ive had lots of tests all normal and there's no blood so im putting it down to hormones but it would help a lot if i knew someone else had this symptom too

I.ve had all kinds of digestion issues since this started in my late 30s. Gastritis, nausea, vomiting, gas pains, belching, gurgling, loss of appetite, loose stool with all kinds of color changes and weird odors. 41 now on BHRT and it has helped some but I still suffer. All these mental and physical changes are absolutely an unbelievable nightmare. Traditional medicine is horrible. I pray one day it all ends with the loss of my period but I.m really scared it wont.

hi - of course im sorry to hear you're suffering though it does help to know all my digestive issues may be hormone related, ive had so many tests - even an endoscopy which was awful, and thankfully nothing was found, but it isnt letting up at all and comes with lots of anxiety, every day is a challenge, hoping it gets better for us x
