Hi Gills,
I'm 52, in late perimenopause, and I have had bouts with this. It's very painful and stressful. For weeks at a time. And just as suddenly as it appears, it goes away again.
It seems to happen more when I'm stressed, so I try (not always successfully) to do the things that reduce stress in my life... eat highly nutritious foods, stay well hydrated, supplement with things that help nerve health... b vitamins, omegas/fish oil, magnesium.
Try to keep my migraines (a huge source of my stress) under control by taking magnesium, getting proper sleep, no caffeine (hard for me), no dairy (even harder for me).
Hope you can find some relief.
Take care,
Sara
