I'm on Sertraline (50mg) for ME as my cousin recovered from ME with the help of Sertraline.
She recommended it to me so I asked my doctor for the lowest dose and he agreed.
He also said at it's lowest dose it was also used for Menapausal issues successfully.
Interesting ?

I do feel like it will help me. Last month I thought my world was crashing down. I had no control over anything. Going to the doctor for help was a massive step for me especially when you just feel stupid and useless.
I feel a bit of nausea , but it's the constant yawning and jaw ache that bothers me more and of course the fatigue!
Hope you are feeling better too.

Sure, if it helps, great.
I do think every new medication we take affects us in some way but generally the side effects will dwindle over time. I had nausea and fatigue but the fatigue is already a part of my every day life at the moment!!
I am also very aware that the maximum to take in our situation is 50mg as any greater amount may well become harder to wean off.
If I didn't feel that this dose was making me feel better, I would have decreased it to 25 mg which is where I started.
I also take 400mg twice a day to stem the pain I experience through inflamed groinal Lymph nodes. With ME, it's about getting your energy levels up and I'm told that pain uses energy so, short term I have grudgingly agreed to take Ibruprofen. I have never relied upon tablets so it seems a big step to take these but I understand what the alternative would be...chronic pain !!!
I must admit when I went through peri menopausal and Menapausal stage, my groin was awful...continual pain. It was my ovary.
Over time, the doctor agreed to remove the ovary and the tube. I still have hot sweats quite regularly but, you know how it is , ..... I can never work out the cause of the symptom.
I have had a scan check up and all is clear so you have to have faith and look forward.
I strongly believe in PMA now and practice it daily.
Hope you are making progress

By the way, interestingly, I have had leg cramps recently and it is restricting my walking. Last week, I went food shopping with my husband for about 20 minutes; not needing much. I lasted 10 minutes and had to sit down.
I spoke with the doctor on the telephone this morning and found out that because I spend so much time with feet up in an attempt to build up energy levels, I am not using my legs. Sertraline may well be building up toxins in my muscles that cause the cramp.
The advice was to practice the leg stretches regularly and see if Things improve. If no improvement, we will come off Sertraline for one month and see if the cramps go...
Thought you may be interested.

I am on 100mg of sertraline. I started it in October. When I was 36, totally out of the blue, my periods stopped for 6 mths. Long story short, it turned out to be premature menopause.
Last yr, aged 38, I was made redundant and had the prem meno/infertility news confirmed both around the same time. So it all came to a head towards the end of last year and I went to the drs for help. I was prescribed cbt and sert.
My gp have me lots of info re hrt and said it was my choice. I feel my meno symptoms have all been more in line with anti d's than hrt. But we're all different.
So this is working for me now and altho I'm not comfy with the idea of being on medication (old me didn't even take painkillers for a headache) I think I will give it another 6 mths before reviewing.
I wanted to stay on 50mg but it wasn't until I (slowly) increased to 100mg that it finally felt right. Word of warning to you, the first few mths was just one side effect after another. And I handled them all by reminding myself they were temporary. But the hardest part was an actual increase in anxiety. I hope this doesn't happen to you, or others, but if it does please try to focus on it being short lived.
Sorry for rambling and good luck with it all.
