Perimenopause and face tingling

has anyone experienced face tingling/sensation of something itching or crawling? its been going on for about 6 weeks and on random spots all over my face. along with night sweats, instances of burning tongue, intermittent anxiety and really heavy periods. i am 45 and hoping this is all perimenopause related and not something else!

if anyone had ideas on what i can take to reduce this that would be great!

Michelle, all the symptoms do sound like perimenopause symptoms, added to the fact that you are at the cusp. But just to rule out, do get yourself checked.

Depending on how it progresses, there are a huge number of other symptoms that may make an appearance. For me, I did not night sweats, atleast nothing that I could not explain away as being a warm night, but other symptoms like anxiety / panic attacks in the middle of night, sleeplessness, palpitations, nerve issues plus many more come and go.

Do check here whenever you worry about anything.

Hang in there...I have heard that it does get better. I am still waiting.

thanks so much for your reply. I have an appointment this week to get all my levels checked. my heart palps have settled down but seem to have been replaced with the tingling. Did you experience that at all?? For me, its the most unsettling.

Yepp, tingling of hands, feet, legs and sometimes face all come and go. My major issue at present is insomnia and hair - growing on the face and thinning a few inches above apart from all the aches and pains. But then with us working from home, and most gyms closed, i guess i am not getting any amount of exercise and it adds to the problem. But heck what other choice do we have?
