Hi Pam, you're definitely suffering with premenopausal symptoms in the perimenopause phase. Take care to drink lots of water take vitamins d3, magnesium, fish oil and orange oil to minimize the effects of the symptoms. For the nausea you can drink mint tea or ginger tea. Peppermint candy also works well. Eat small portions of food at a time and try not to over eat. Hope this helps.

oops not orange oil but Borage oil pills. These helped ease the symptoms.

thanks for sharing information. I am visiting a specialist at menopause centre and in meantime my dr has prescribed antidepressant which do not seem to work at all. I will try ginger tea. thanks

Pam, with antidepressants it takes about a month to get into your system. However, if you're not feeling they have even a small effect on you tell your doctor to prescribe something else. Of course, everyone is different, like with me any medicine I take works almost immediately.

See if you feel any slight differences in your body, if you feel anything even slightly changing, e.g mood, sleep or anxiety , it means it's working.

Does anyone get a lot of stomach issues ? I feel like I have lots of acid and catarrh that makes me feel nauseous . Is this unusual as I seem to worry about every symptom . I'm frightened to mention this to my doctor . At the moment I've got another bad migraine along with worrying about my stomach . Thanks ladies

i have nausea too a bad one and worry makes it worse only. try either natural things like ginger or take medication on days really bad. are you going through perimenopause ? these are part of it especially gut issue which relates to hormones flactulating and causing migraine. happy to share information i know.

      Hi Pam

I'm 44 and same thing dr said I'm too young. Even though my periods are going from one week to 18 days long then going from 25 days to 36 days between them. Also having violent migraine every 3 weeks with vomiting. And the anxiety was terrible was afraid to be home alone and Est alone . I was afraid of everything. But cut back on sugar and chocolates etc. And the anxiety levels dropped dramatically. Now just get anxiety if really tired and then a few days before periods. I'd say there are so many women on anti depressants because of peri and doctors don't explain it to them.

      Hi Michelle

Do yuo take any form of medication at this stage to help with all. I have tried anti depressant but of no help being on them or without them remains the same.

Hi Pam you are definitely not early, I was told I was early at 41 hmph what did they know? I am now 44 had bloods done 6 months ago because I was convinced I was bleeding to death and hey what do you know my levels are so whatever I am nearly through! My periods have been all over the show for the last 4 years, definitley always now about 2-3 weeks in length and gushes of blood on my worst days. Or ridiculous spotting for days on end. I never go out of the house without a sanitary towel on and on my worse days I use incontinence pads or try not to go out. I have a thickened womb lining and have had for the last 4 years, I have a simple cyst on left ovary which isn't giving me much bother. I get dizzy, tired, achy, moody, join pain, itchy skin, crappy hair. But I just keep thinking I am going to be through this before I get granchildren!! The best time I have felt was Sept last year to February this year no period - I was zooming with energy and loving life. There are a few posts on here from women who have gone through it and are loving life so I keep focused on them. I do get anxious and panicky - that's how it started for me when I was in my mid 30's but once I realised only I know I am having a panic attack and I am unlikely to die from it I let it absorb me while I focus on deep breathing. I am dead lucky to work with a number of women who all make a joke of hot flushes so they don't trouble me so bad because I layer up and then strip off. I haven't gone for any medical intervention despite being offered a range of treatments because things I did try - norethisterone for bleeding made me ill, tranexamic acid worked one month then never again, don't fancy the mirena but some good reviews on here and didn't fancy HRT as I swung into perimenopause a couple of years after I stopped taking the pill because I wanted to feel normal again (God what a joke!). There is a lady on here Jay who is definitely the guru on natural vitamins etc. I am not taking any of them either because I have a few allergies so try to go au naturel - I do have cereal every morning with added B vits and iron, loads more fresh fruit, yoghurt and plenty of red meat and urgh - black pudding!! But it does keep iron up when you are bleeding heavy. My haemaglobin dipped last year so i just keep a little eye on my iron now. Just keep popping in here it's a good place especially at 2am when you are panic stricken xxx

thanks Crazy daisy. I am really bothered by mental issues though things like fatige pains are part of it as well. I am 45 and gone through this for 3 years now. Panic attacks are understandable but constant edgy feeling through out the day is not good. Thanks for this forum and people like you who give more hope than any medicines
