Oh yes!  In fack I have it now.  It comes and goes as does my hot flashes.  The chest heaviest has lasted 3-4 months then goes away for a while.  I have it back now and hot flashes are pretty much gone but I also have dizziness and low blood sugar.  Hormones are HORRIFIC!!!!

Yes I have the dizziness and brain fog. The tight feeling comes on and feels like your ribs are closing in to. I wonder how long to the end of peri now. I'm 46

Yes I get this too. I think sometimes that it could be my heart or my lungs. But it usually dissapates. I don't get it too frequently but it is scary.

Yes - this came on approximately 6 months ago (5 yrs into my saga "the bizarre symptoms that haven't killed me so far..."). It is another layered-on-weird sensation that is legitimately a physical *thing*. It did come about around the same time that I started having troubles swallowing/feeling of food getting stuck, and silent reflux issues (that I had never had before in my life). I wondered if it was related, but I've had the reflux come and go and this weird sensation come and go. It feels like a big band is around my upper ribs and I feel pressure in my back. I find it tight if I try to draw a big breath in and I feel that pressure. I track in on my Period App, to see if it's linked to any particular time in my cycle. The only saving grace is that it has gone away for some days at a time, so I figure that if it isn't progressing then it is likely linked to my hormone fluctuations. It took me some time to believe that it wasn't something more sinister, especially since I've been having troubling episodes of lightheadedness that can be quite frightening. I have a standing req. for an EKG, so when I experince that feeling next, along with dizziness/lightheadedness, my doctor suggested that I pop in and get the EKG done at that time. I do believe that it's related to a nasty peri-menopause though, but then again I'm having a good day today....

That's exactly what it feels like, a tight band is around your rib cage. That is what I have been experiencing today. I have not been able to eat that much today. I get that feeling right under my left breast at the top of my rib cage. Then my stomach was nervous off and on today too. It just gets to be too much sometimes!

Me too! My radiates around to my back. I had applesauce and broth and a couple crackers today.

Yes I feel it in my back sometimes too. Then it radiates to my shoulder and arm. It's really a bothersome thing.

I get the funny to swallow feeling and acid reflux too. I also find it hard to breath. It's absolutely horrible. I can't believe this is all peri ! I've just no interest in myself and going anywhere.
