PERIMOENOPAUSE HELL - READY TO START ESTRADOT PATCHES

Hi Ladies, After 10 months of absolute hell, going from 48 to feeling like i am 98, i have finally decided to try Estradot patches to try and find some relieve.
It all started December last year for me when i went 5 months without a period, to all of a sudden one day , heart started racing, thought i was having a heart attack and ended up calling the ambulance.
Chest/lung xrays all clear, bloods all clear and its basically gone down hill from there. Periods are back although all over the place
The digestive issues, insomnia, dry skin, constipation, brain fog, anxiety attacks and for me the worst has been the shoulder/neck daily aches and pains.
I feel like i have aged about 50 years in 6 months. Feel like i am running back to the doctor every month with something new and she must think im crazy. Have had full bloods done nearly every 3 months and they always come back clear
I am very funny about taking any sort of medication and at worst will take a panadol. After my last visit with Dr which was about the waking up with tingling arms/hands and daily tinnitus i have finally decided to give the Estradot patches a try.
I really cant take feeling like this anymore and am at my wits end.
I was just wondering if any of you ladies out there have had any experience with Estradot patches and if there were any negative/positives.
I am on Estradot 25 and Provera 10mg.
It has only been 3 days and apparently it takes a few weeks to kick into gear so i will keep you all posted to see if i find any relief.

hi Bella I feel the same I'm 44 it started 3 years ago. My digestive issues really effect me. For months it's fine not perfect. This month my acid is at all time high! I had endoscopy and another scan all fine.
I would like to take HRT but my breast surgeon has advised me against it. I've got lumps in my breasts and armpit all benign.
I cont live like this:(

Oh boy, well on the flip side, i know its only been 5 days since starting and it takes apparently 2 weeks to feel the effects, however, i have to say the tension in my shoulders and shoulderblade neck pain have significantly reduced. I have even managed to get a few goods nights sleep.
It may be just a coincidence...... time will tell
I am just grateful that the body aches/pains have subsided.
No horrible side effects yet from the estradot patches......
to be continued!!
Thank you for your input and advise!!!

So sorry you are going through this as well. Its absolutely HORRIBLE. Not knowing from one day to the next which symptom is going to hit.
Everytime i get a new or repeating symptom i just have to remind myself its all just hormones to try and stop my health anxiety from going through the roof and leading to an anxiety or panic attack
Take care and wishing you some relief
xx

hey lovely to hear from you:) I had this morning on the background today and they were talking about perimenopause and how they are going to talk about it more! thank goodness more awareness. 44% of women in the population suffer from perimenopause which is huge! Apparently we need testosterone to level our hormones as well as estrogen as that keeps our womb thick! too much progesterone will thin the lining! Abit like a lawn mover and estrogen makes it grow! Also we should ask for a DR who has more experience with perimenopause so they can help us. Apparently all Drs are getting trained on menopause but there always be one with more knowledge 😉

it was the gyno that said no estrogen, my lining is thick, most of the best doctors agree that progesterone drops first in peri, how are you doing? xx
