I am 56 stop period 4 yrs ago and Saturday i woke up went to shower afterward i use the bathroom and i was bleeding this is like a period or should i say the periods i had before menopause. i just do not understand today is tuesday christmas eve and im still bleeding.

im scared. its not spotting it bleeding like a period, plus i noticed my breast was sore prior to the onset. ignore my texting its not very good as im do not feel like correcting the small letters to capital. ive had cold chills and then hot spells.

there is something im concern about that may be a link. i brought home from my job on my clothes fleas the place had a severe infestation. Soon my house became infested with fleas i mean they were everywhere. i used all kinds of things to conquer this problem essential oils to very poisonous sprays and bombs. i spray daily using blackflag flea and egg killer for 3 months which had a hormone regulator im sure i inhaled this stuff and

probably got it on my feet and skin. im not sure if all this excessive use of poisons made me very toxic. perhaps elevated my body with puedo hormone like estrogen.

just trying to grasp at straws.

Hi, I had similar in 2018 (you may be able to find my previous posts). I was 53 years old at the time and had not had a period for about 3 years. Like you I had some breast tenderness a night or two before and the bleeding was a text book period for me. Investigations found nothing untoward and I am convinced it was a period caused by an episode of acute stress causing an increase in hormone levels. The important thing is not to worry. If it starts, continues and ends like a period, it probably is one. The important thing is to get it checked out as soon as possible as a precaution and for peace of mind. If you are in the UK you will be referred for an ultrasound scan and if (like me) depending on the womb lining thickness, a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy. You will get the appointment very quickly (within a week or two). Mine was all done in the same appointment and results of the hysteroscopy and ultrasound given there and then.

This is my first time on this forum. THE ONLY site that is helpful with my issue. Thank you all for your comments/advise. I'm 50 and having heavy period after exactly a year. I had my Astra Zeneca vaccine number 1 and boom!! I immediately felt the shock in my body..... Two weeks later this happened. Not sure if it has a connection but I did have a scan done today and it confirmed I'm having a period and nothing else is wrong. Phew!! Hope this feedback helps someone.

So now I have to go through premenopause again??!!

im panicking but not so much now that i read these stories - im 48 havent a period in 18 months - i was dx with celiac disease which can cause early menopause - hence this past week my breasts are swollen and tender and ive had stress this week and ive been moody - this afternoon after i used the bathroom and wiped i saw pinkish red on toilet paper and in toilet - none since -i called my gyno who says it can awake again seeing that i went through menopause on the younger side. she said not to panic and she will send me for tvu in case im praying all ok - nobody in my family has any history of cancer
