Period cramps but no period

I've been on contraception for 9 months now. i have the depo-provera birth control injection which has completely stopped my periods and i have not had one in 9 months, however according to my period app i would usually have my period around this time. I am not bleeding (sometimes i had spotting due to birth control) but i am not bleeding but just have pain in my groin area where i get period cramps however there is no period. It is normal for me to have no period however its not normal for me to experience cramping. Please help
