period like pain

How are you feeling now? I am 4 weeks post op tomorrow and get real bad pains like period pains. Does it get easier

I've not been great to be far but my back pain as just gone after 14 weeks of the pain my back was more pain full then my tummy was. In the end I had acupuncture 2 x sessions it's the best thing I did. My back pain gone and I also felt very down which helped aswell. Give it ago I wish I did it weeks ago. Iam due to start wirk next week. But I do feel very tired still but I need to start back work after 15 weeks off. Also I tryed 2 lots of hrt which was rubbish. My tummy still very swollen and hurts sometimes. You still have some way to go but u wish you good luck and ty for asking xx

Wow that's a long time of back pain. Glad the acupuncture worked for you. That may be an option for me. I've been put back on anti biotic today as have another infection. God it smells really bad. The consultant said that if no improvement by Thursday he will get me in for a scan to see what's going on. Thought that after nearly 4 and a half weeks I should be on the road to recovery. God talk about fed up xx

Well val I had 6 water infections in 8 weeks in the end I was send in to hospt for a cat scan on my bladder bit everything was ok. They said it was a big op and things are still in recovery. That was 12 weeks post op when I went in for one night. You are still in early days yet. Where is the infection? But defo give it a go it's good for what we have just had done she reset my body if that's what you call it lol. Not sure where you live? I think ive got another infection come on since yesterday I feel swollen and my tummy hurts alot. I some times wish I never had my ovaries out and just had everything else took away like I have. Hope you are not to much in pain. I did use deep heat on my back before bed and some times in the day try that xx

Stay strong and rest that's what I did for 8 weeks that's when I started doing little light stuff and did drive only a little. It takes a long time for us to feel us again. Xx

I hope your okay Sam, can you get in touch with the doctor tomorrow and get checked? I had years of water infections, one of the reasons apart from fibroid that I had the op. My infection is inside the vagina where all the stitches are. It's a brown sewage smelling liquid. . Yuk sorry for that information. Giving me water infection too and back killing. Hoped the last lot of tablets would of cleared it. Did for a week but then it's back with a vengeance. Hope he does scan me Thursday now. Peace of mind too xx

Well see if you can have a cat scan it looks at your kidneys and bladder. They inject clear fluid in your vine. They thought my lower back pain was my kidneys but it turns out that all was ok. But not sure why the weather infection they said they will see me in June and hope it all sorts out. Bless you I would not wait till Thurs you should go hospt for strong antibiotics on a drip to sort you out. Please don't wait. He should of send you straight in to the women's ward that deal with lady problems we have one and it's a open ward that you can be send into for them to check you. You need a swab doing ASAP. That's why you are feeling rubbish. You have not over done it have you? Xx

The anti biotic he gave me are really strong ones he said.the reason he said Thursday is that it gives them time to work and will go from there. I will ask him for scan Thursday. Our hospital is rubbish,( north tees in Stockton) I was sent out the following after noon after my ops as no beds to keep me in. So no chance of going in a ladies ward to be checked. The nhs is total rubbish in here. To be honest I never ever want to go back into hospital to get any thing done again. Put off for life xx

That's so bad. Did you have a full one with everthing taken away? And the big cut. I got send under nhs to a private hospital it was lovely I went in sat at 11 and come out Tuesday. That's not good for you bless you I bet you have been put off. I have ans still had good care I just don't seem to be getting better I just feel like I've got a virus I only have to go out for a few hours then Iam back home pj's on. I feel like I've done a full days work out after. My sleep is rubbish. I put in 2 Stone put I dud eat alot over Xmas. I've lost a stone since jan so one more to go I feel I've lost my self. I just won't my sparkle back. Poor you well I hope the strong antibiotics work for you. Xx

I had the vaginal hysterectomy with everything taken out tubes the lot.and the bowel prolapse repair done inside vagina. Am also putting weight on. Not eating big meals, just snacking on choc etc on a night. I'll be joining slimming world again once I'm well enough. I feel like you, I've lost myself a bit. Used to be dead bubbly but feel depressed and miserable. Feel sorry for my family. It's my birthday today and feel so down, had family come to visit etc and was okay in front of them. But when they went I just felt rubbish again. Sick of hearing myself moan lol xx

Well happy birthday to you. Well I've seen people on here back work after 2 weeks having what you have had done how the hell they do it i don't no. It's a big op what ever way. Iam same keep going on ans feel down about it. People think we are ok because we are out going and can deal with it but it's a big op. Well you did well to show you was ok. I've got a best friend who I tell everything too she keeps me going. Iam only 40 not sure how old you are. You will get bsck on track just get better and eat wgat ever you like I did lol. Then 21st week of jan I started my ww diet I went to 12 stone. But I wonted a cheer me up so had lots of bad snacks. So just be carefull. I do like my wine but gone off it at the moment just the odd glass every few weeks. If I was closer I woukd of picked you up for a catch up so we can moan together lol xx

Lol we sound the same, I have a good mate too. We have a good old moan and put the world to rights, I'd crack up without her I think. There's only so much I can talk to my husband about lol. I'm 48 today but act like I'm 18 when I go out lol. It's just me skin that's aged, not my mind. Thanks so much for messing back tonight. Feel knew better now.xx

Lol I haven't had a drink for 6 weeks so once I'm back to normal and get myself out again I'll be plastered after one drink and no doubt be back to showing myself up and having a good laugh. Can't wait xx

Shame you don't live nearer, would of been nice to meet up and compare notes, have a good moan and have a laugh about it all when we're back to normality lol. My husband gone on nights today so only my daughter to moan at haha. She's pretty good, makes me laugh andbuys me choc and cake.will never be thin lol. I'd lost weight the first week but gradually putting it back on. Can't be ill and not eat goodies can we lol.X

God tomorrow can't come soon enough. Hope the consultant does do a scan or at least give me a once over to tell me why I'm in all this pain still with another infection. It's really starting to get me down now. X

I have a daughter who is 17 I think she as had enough of me now lol. My hubby kept buying me chocolate over Xmas bad hubby but I needed a cheer up lol.

Hi Sam, the consultant didn't ring me till late today and after speaking to me he decided to wait till Monday when the anti antics are finished, when he will ring me again and sort out the scan.was gutted, really thought he'd sort it today. The vaginal infection is clearing but turned to thrush with all the anti biotics I think. Also kidneys aching and know I've got a water infection too. Just thought I'd cheer you up lol. Ended up calling the doctors and going at 10am tomorrow, hoping she can give me summat till Monday. I feel like I'm going no further forward. I've been drinking cranberry by the litre lol but not much help so maybe water for us both as you didn't like it lol. What time are you in the doctors tomorrow? Good luck I hope you get some joy. Oh that's good. I hope you start to feel a bit better soon once they kick in.

The doc examined me and took more swabs and water sample and said I have thrush too, probably caused by the anti antics, so just got cream and pessary for that. Got to wait for results to come back now. Just hoping on Monday the consultant will see me and do that scan to see what's going on. I'm gonna go and have a big cream cake now to cheer myself up lol. Won't fit into any clothes before long haha xx

Well val you bloody do that. My only cheer me up was chocolate lol that's why I put on 1 stone but when you are feeling more better you will shift it in no time if you do put on. Hope you feel better soon with the trush one thing after another. Hope you get that scan next week. Tc val xx

All ok. But still feel swollen down there this past week not sure why. I've had a bad day today it's only happened 2 x since my op 16 weeks ago. I woke up feeling so down and fed up and at one point I was at kfc having lunch with my oldest abs just started crying and broke down. And I've been snapping at my hubby. I just hope it clears off tomorrow. How you feeling xx

Oh bless ya Sam, I think with all that you've been through and the hormonal changes it just builds up and it has to escape somewhere. It won't help having a water infection as well, that will be getting you down too.a good cry is maybe what you needed to get it out of your system today. You need your best mate to have a heart to heart with and put the world to rights, it always makes me feel better once I've done that. I hope your okay.

I've been out for walk today about an hour, and feeling tired and swollen a bit down the nether regions now, maybe because I'm not used to it. The water infection isn't as bad today, the thrush is easing a bit. Hoping the infection inside is clearing, will no more Monday hopefully,. . . . Well that's gonna cheer you up listening to me moaning on is it lol. Sorry, maybe cream cakes and a good chat will make things a little brighter. Take care. Am here to talk if you need me X

Yes val maybe we do need a good cry. But yesterday I was bloody brilliant and dancing in the kitchen even though my bits that hurt I didn't care I've been like it all week. I thought I was going forward but let's hope by tomorrow that not nice person will be with me.

Well val I think you are doing very well for jusy over 4 weeks. I did not out the house untill about 6 weeks. Only a few time just to the docters. Just don't do too much. Thankyou for your support xx
