Periods after UFE ?

Hi, I was just wondering how everyones periods were after having UFE procedure? I'm on my 3rd cycle after having the UFE procedure done in December 2019 & they are still heavy & painful. I know its still early days & I think I got my hopes up for some dramatic difference happening alot faster. I have my follow up scan in May so wont know till then if its worked. I'm praying the periods will lesson over time,

Hi dear i also had it in december 2019 and bleeded for 4 days the next day and i took tranexamic acid as advised.

I have not bleeded but i do have mild stain not always i tried to bleed after two month last weekend it lasted a day with mild bleeding.

Im not worried because i was on norethrestone and probstabs injection for over a year it should have stopped the bleeding but it did not. So it might be those drugs. Hormones are different please refer to your gyeneacologist. I have told them im fine and was discharged for none appointments after my surgery. Good luck

Thanks for your reply. Im not on any contraception now or before UFE , Ive never taken anything running up to the UFE either as I just wanted to wait to have the UFE. I bleed for 2 weeks after UFE then had my normal period after 25 days & this is now my 3rd period. They are exactly the same time inbetween & pretty much as heavy as before UFE. I will see what the scan results say in May & keep hoping things get better.

I had my procedure Jan 10th and bled kind of heavy for a week after. I just had my first cycle and it seemed a little heavy for a day but none of the major clotting I had before. I know they say everyone's body responds differently. I hope you get some relief soon.

Thanks, I suppose I was just hoping for a massive difference with the periods straight away. Im on my third cycle ( day4) & Its still pretty heavy on day 2 & 3 , lots of sudden flooding & some clotting. Hopefully this is just things settling down & will get less with time because I really want to be free of these heavy periods.

My periods are the same because my doctor didn’t block all the vessels he was supposed to. I had other changes that were positive but not my cycles. I wound up in the hospital days later with heavy bleeding.
