Periods closer together, symptoms worse?

So I've been in peri for about two and a half years. The thing I've noticed is that when my periods come closer together (only 2-3 weeks apart) my symptoms (nausea, poor sleep, loose stools, mood swings, etc.) are more severe. But when my cycle starts to space itself out, pushing past 35 days toward 40+ or more, then everything levels out a bit and becomes easier to deal with.

I usually see women complain of the opposite, that getting their period brings them a little bit of relief. But is anyone else like me, seeing a worsening of symptoms when their periods start coming closer and closer together again?

ive had really painful lower back pain for a year now, my doctor says it tension which is understandable with all the physical & mental torment we go through! struggling the last few days with painful bloating & have a small pathetic bleed started today hopefully it will all calm down for a few days until the cycle starts again :0(

Yes, and I don't know what to think anymore. I am sorry you are feeling this too!!

It's like there isn't enough time to recover from one hormone disaster and it's already time for the next.

    It's exhausting.

Since I started menstruating at 14, my cycle has been irregular. When I started peri-menopause suddenly it came every month like clock work. The one thing I could always count on was the mood swings and they have not let me down during this transition in fact they are stronger than ever. I feel like this is time is a super strong reminder that my uterus is there-even though I never had kids-and she is the ruler supreme.

    Its a horrible time.
