hey Toria
Mines comes every 21 days! seeing the gynecologist on Thursday. Will see what he says about it.
Spoke to the Dr today. This one was awful my one was on annual leave
My scan showed a polyp hence my pain.
I had two removed last year! Thank god nothing on ovaries!
Hoping it will be ok on Thursday as some polys can be cancerous
How did the jab go?

aw im sure it will be ok, not too bad, arm still a little sore but used to pain, feel very light headed but asked doctors to be tested for low iron as periods are so blooming heavy and i had anemia years ago, it should really be them thinking of what to test hmmm and apparently if you have fibroids (i do) you should get iron checked anyway, ive also requested some bio identical progesterone as that declines in peri were as estrogen can surge, i will do the doctors jobs for them, my chemist is better haha xx

oh goodness! That's such a long time. I've been on iron tablets for 5 years now due to heavy periods. Have to get my iron levels checked every 4-6 months.
My periods have always been heavy. Since peri 3 years now they have gone into over drive! Very heavy so hoping to get a laproscopy done to check for endometriosis. This is the second time having polys after only a year.
Hope to get answers. Also my liver is still the same not a fatty liver but coarse.
Hormones going through the liver causes pain I've had this for 3 years had fibroscan done too. No one seems to have answers apart from diet!
I'm super healthy always on salads, don't drink, fruit veg etc!!!
So unfair!

hey lovely, doing some research, has your doctor checked your iron levels recently? as taking iron long term can cause gastritis, also in peri we sometimes have cycles were we dont release an egg, this is caused by low progesterone and can cause polps x

hi yes had it checked last week. On the low side. I hate taking iron tablets but have no choice. I take one a day.
Thanks for that I will tell the gynecologist. You need to be a DR. You've been really supportive thanks so much x

anovulatory cycles mean you arent ovulating and therefore not making progesterone that you need to thin the uterine lining and prevent heavy periods. anovulatory cycles can also cause endometrial hyperplasia or uterine polyps.

love you! Thanks. I will ask Gynaecologist about the 20 day cycle. Is that's why you are waiting for an appointment?
The sun will be out soon! It will lift our mood a bit
are you based here in the UK?

wow! amazing.....how old are you? I'm 44. My peri started at 40
toria_07298 sandeep08592

im 40, mine started when i was 39, we are both quite young for it really x
sandeep08592 toria_07298

definitely I had a fab 40th! it was all started when I went away with my girls to Dubai! I felt awful! So far I hate my 40s.
It all started with severe headaches then liver pain, heavy periods and then all the rest came over the last 3 years
toria_07298 sandeep08592

mine basically came on over night, doctors thought i had covid as i was that ill, before that i was really fit, i do remember a month before having a hot flush but it only lasted a few seconds, not hours like now, anyway docs have agreed to the bloods ive asked for, but they have to talk to each other about the progesterone (probably because ive asked for natural) x
sandeep08592 toria_07298

Oh goodness that's so unfair on you 😕 Perimenopause is so mentally draining.
I only get hot flushes when I'm on my period.
The doctors always associate hot flushes with menopause or Perimenopause. They have no clue about the other symptoms. I had to lie to my DR and say I get hot flushes all the time for her to do hormonal bloods. That's when I was diagnosed!
have you tried menobalance by starpowa?
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
im glad you dont get them all the time, theyre draining, and the night sweat gee whizz, no ive not tried that, where do they sell it? i havent even slept through a night in years, but magnesium really helps x

my gp is quite young and didnt even think it was peri, for a year was sending me for scary tests and scans etc, then a few weeks ago my old gp was covering and the first thing she said to me was it sounds like something called peri menopause x

awww thanks so much! I did the mistake of googling! It's made me anxious.
This is the second time going back after a year for polys so they will be keeping a close eye. Apparently hormone treatment might be needed.
Anyway let's see.....will message you x
toria_07298 sandeep08592

you do not need estrogen, as your periods are close together, you have enough estrogen right now, tut tut naughty lady googling haha x
toria_07298

estrogen is probably causing the polyps x

Hey! had my appointment early today as they had a lot of cancellations. So it was more of a consultancy. She did say peri causes 20/21 day periods.
She's going to insert the mirena coil next week as it will stop the polys reappearing she has got one fitted in and it's the best thing ever apparently! So will give it a go!
The gynecologist is going to perform a hysteroscopy to have a good look inside my womb next Thursday.
Hoping it goes well. CA125 is normal and it's not recommended for women who are still having periods apparently as they give false results.
I mentioned my lower pain and she said its your bowels!! So called the Dr and the Labs discarded my bowel test as it wasn't labelled! I said all the paper work is in There!!! there is nowhere to write your name etc on the slim lined bottle!
So have to do it again to rule anything out! So painful everything!
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
all sounds positive which is good ❤ i had the mirena years ago, the only negative was it made my migraines worse so had to get the copper coil, i had the most annoying consultation with gp earlier, the lack of knowledge had me in tears x
sandeep08592 toria_07298
Posted
awww bless you sending you hugs......I've been researching on the mirena and the articles don't sound positive.
I sufferer from acne from 16 to 35!
I've been getting the odd hormonal spot on my jawline. The mirena can make it worse! as it releases hormones whereas the copper one doesn't?
I'm not using it for contraception but to reduce periods flow.
Which one would you recommend? I feel so confused as I don't want acne it will finish me off!
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
aw hugs back, the copper doesnt contain hormones so wont stop polyps lovely, youd be better off with progesterone cream maybe x
sandeep08592 toria_07298
Posted
hey Toria,
Had my hysteroscopy today. It was painful! never want to do that again. They found a polyp and removed it
did a biopsy of uterus lining and have got a follow up in 2 weeks.
Feeling so nauseous and tired. I will ask about 21 days period cycle at my appointment as this specialist just seemed to interested in getting the procedure done
How are you?
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
at least its done and out of the way, im feeling awful to be honest, i had a delayed reaction to vaccine but that is going down now x
sandeep08592 toria_07298
Posted
oh goodness what sort of reaction?
toria_07298 sandeep08592

i tried to post a picture the other day but it got deleted, after 9 days my arm swelled up and had a big red circle rash on it and i felt like i had the flu, i took antihistamines and used ice, sent a pic to doc for my records as they seem to think i dont have allergies (yeah right)? i cant eat dairy, gluten etc etc and used to be able to eat everything and to make matters worse the antihistamines have given me bad side effects, cant win haha x
sandeep08592 toria_07298

oh goodness! my sisters arm is hurting and she's been to the drs had it 5 weeks ago and now has to have a MRI. Ever since the damn jab. They think she's got inflammation. She's in a lot of pain.
Has your rash gone down?
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
yes the rash has gone down, oh no bless your sister, that isnt good 😦 the worst thing is the antihistamine were helping my inflammation but too many side effects, going to order some probiotics see if they take down the allergies x
sandeep08592 toria_07298
Posted
Good plan. I take probiotics took me 3 years to find the right ones! they've calmed down my heartburn thank goodness. Bloating and stomach acid still here! All my organs hurt especially the right handside. Ultrasound was all clear apart from my liver which has been like this for 3 years. Not sure what it is
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
aw that is great news ❤ everything mainly effects my rightside too, i do get it on the left but much much worse on the right, really hope ive picked the right probiotics as ive wasted a fortune, what did scan show regarding liver? are you drinking plenty of water? i drink about 3 litres a day x
sandeep08592 toria_07298
Posted
I've had a coarse liver ever since peri hit me;( had a fibroscan done too no fat.
All our organs are located on out right handside hence our pains!
I only drink just over 1.5 litres a day. No wonder my urine can be smelly first thing in the morning then clear!
I will up my water.
sandeep08592
Edited
apparently your liver gets effected a lot through all the hormonal changes as it's working harder to flush all the waste away.
A lot of women get liver pain during peri and menopause

ive had a lower back problem the last few weeks, i had it last year and put it down to b12 injections, but have it back, im ok first thing but as the day goes on my back hurts really bad, its a really sharp twinge when i bend over and as usual im thinking cancer, gee whizz to be normal again eh x
sandeep08592 toria_07298

oh goodness! don't think that remember you've had all the tests done. Try this aloe heat lotion by forever
I had lower back pain in Dec and this fixed it. You can only try it. It works wonders for me as I cont take painkillers because of my stomach

sandeep08592 toria_07298

ah bless yes do what you can to be comfortable. I've started my period today had cramps and I usually don't get them so it's the after effects of the procedure.
Just want to get through this week
toria_07298 sandeep08592
Posted
oh no, ive always had severe cramps since my first period, try a nice bath with epsom salts x
sandeep08592 toria_07298
Posted
thanks mines stopped after taking Vit D. Last 3 years only had mild cramps that last an hour throughout my whole cycle!
I hope I heal quickly after the procedure.
I'm never going to do it again rather have polpys
We go through so much so fed up. Still got my lower pain! The procedure was completely unrelated to the actual problem I had. All because of the CA125 test! To which it was normal after I finished my period. At least my uterus has had a MOT!
toria_07298 sandeep08592

i took high doses of vitamin d that the doc prescribed me it made me ill, would rather get out in the sun to be honest x

Hi guys, came by your convo here as it sounds exactly like my case too expect I've had no investigations done. Just wanted to see if this was a thing people went through and then I found this. Thank you for shedding some light on the subject for me. Looks like we are all about 42ish and have 20ish day period. How are things going for you both? Is there a natural remedy that we could take that legthens our cycles? Adaptogenic herbs like medicinal mushrooms? Just started looking into this and wondered if anyone had tried. Hope you are both well x
