Peripheral neurpheral

I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy

I have tried a tens machine and all the natural creams and vitamins, nothing has helped!

Going to my doctors, has anyone had any prescriptions that have helped?

Thank you

I take Lyrica 100mg 3/day and it helps some.  If you live in a place where it is available, I've found medical cannabis to be helpful.  Acupuncture is the only thing that has given me relief for any length of time.  I recommend it, too.  Ive been diagnosed for 5 years.

Hello odinhans, thank you for sharing your experiences with us. How long did you have to use acupuncture until it helped? Do you have to use it regularly?

Hi AlbertC.  It took a couple of appointments before I began to see any real results.  I've been having acupuncture now for about 3 years, but only intensively in the last year and a half. It isn't a miracle cure, but I generally get significant relief of symptoms for 3-5 days after the appt.  I have appts approximately every two weeks.

Thank you, I've already heard that it does not help everyone. I will ask my doctor for treatment!

Has the dr checked your Vit B12 levels and Vitamin D?

If so can you geta print out of the results and post them online here for comments?

      Thanks

Neurontin or Lyrica, both for nerve pain. I also take oxycontin, and dilauded for break through pain.

Are you seeing a GP or a Neurologist?

I will see a specialist soon

      Thank you!

    HI

    I have this too.

Mind my asinghow the diagnoses was made and what is thought to have caused this distressing condition.

    Thanks in advance.

I think it's from the nerve block when I had my knee surgery

But the verdict is still out

      Still doing testing

Hi June, have lived with this for years. Had every procedure known to man, nevro implant and after all that and many years of pain still had to go to opiates for relief and sometimes not enough if in flair up. I am on morophone, cymbalta 90 per day. Generally ok but not if in flair up. Hope you are seeing specialist in pain management they have a better understanding of the issues involved. Sorry for your situation and wish you the very best, a hug is on the way.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

I started on 100mg three times a day

Now on 100 mg 5 times a day

      Much success

My mood is better, sleep is great and much less pain and numbness in both feet

I still get some pins and needles feeling in my feet at the end of the day but nothing I can't handle

      Hope this helps
