Permanent Chronic Insomnia

Posted , 4 users are following.

I've had Chronic Insomnia for 21 years, this year. I can't work and feel continually fatigued and unwell. I meditate In bed all night, for a form of sleep and have light R.E.M sleep. It all started with bad anxiety and reversing it through CBT Is Impossible, as functioning everyday would be even harder than It is already. I get through because I have strong genes and am naturally tough, but it is hard socialising, etc.

Hi Liz. I'm surprised you are prescribed Quetiapine off label for insomnia as it's an anti-psychotic drug which can be almost impossible to come off, most doctors are unwilling to prescribe it unless you also have bi polar or schizophrenia. Have you not tried Amitriptyline or Mirtazapine?
