Permanent nausea

Good afternoon. I apologize for my mistakes in English. English isn't my native language. My problem is a permanent nausea which is already lasting for 9 months. This nausea begins when I open my eyes in the morning and doesn't finish till night. I checked up my stomach, my brain. Everything is normal. All doctors direct me to the psychiatrist. The psychiatrist prescribed me antidepressants and neuroleptics. But they didn't help me. I tried three types of antidepressants, but they don't solve my problem-a permanent nausea. I am very tired of it. I can't eat normally. It is necessary to say that I had panic attacks last year. They were lasting for a year and then disappeared or transformed in this permanent nausea. Has anybody faced such problems? Is my nausea connected with psyche? How can I solve it?

Hi, I used to suffer with permanent nausea from when I was a child. For me, it was because of stressful traumas that took place in my life. I also had a gall stone stuck in my bile duct from the age of five which didn't help my gut. Have you ever had a proper physical check up to rule anything out regarding your nausea?

I have the exact same problem, permanent nausea. Eating and drinking is the biggest challenge in life for the past 16 months. I can't sleep properly, some days I wake up after about 4 hours to throw up and go back to sleep for a couple more hours. My doctor diagnosed me with Functional Dyspepsia and unfortunately it has no cure. What I found helped me was a medication called Sulpiride, 3 pills of 50mg a day and one or two 5mg Diazepam for when I had stressful days so I can eat and drink. With medication you also need to practice relaxation methods, plan your days in advance so you remove as much stress as you can. After a year and a half of treatment I can function relatively normally and do what I have to do but social life is non existent. I can't eat, I can't drink, I feel like throwing up the whole time and because of it going clubbing with friends, going to a restaurant or even a bar is just unbearable. Also it's worth noting that there are better weeks and there are worse. I had 2 months of almost normal life, I could even go out with friends but unfortunately the symptoms came back hard about a month ago. All the best.

Also, do your symptoms get worse when you have to go out? Do you feel like throwing up when eating, and is that too worse on stressful days? Can you eat when you're not at home? Can you drink enough water?

My nausea isn't connected with the place where I am. Now I practically don't go out and try to sleep as much as possible as nausea is very strong. I drink a lot of water. When I am lucky at eating smth, the feeling of desire of throwing out doesn't leave me. I take Diazepam as well, sometimes it makes me feel better. My doctor thinks that I have anxiety disorder. However, meds from anxiety disorder doesn't help me. So I am very disappointed and lose any hope 😦

Read through these three pictures, I think you should ask your doctor about functional dyspepsia, which is caused by anxiety and stress.

Try a food diary to see if food is causing it. Anxiety can also cause nausea. I would ask to see a different doctor and ask for an ultrasound to check your abdominal organs such as your gallbladder and have a HIDA scan to check gallbladder function if this has not been done. You could also do a stool test to see if you have an infection such as h pylori. Have you been prescribed anti nausea medication to ease your nausea so you can eat normally?

Hi . I have had nausea everyday for 7 years, sometimes up to 9 hours a day. Since I was 25 and I'm now 61, I have 5 Sotomach Ulcers, Hiatus Hernia. With episodes of Gastritis and Duodenitis. For the last 7years I have had constant stomach pain and when I could vomit I did so every day. The Docs are still doing tests to find out what's causing it. I take PPIs and H -Blockers and they don't do much good. I had an op on my valve 2 years ago.

I would go back to the Doc and insist on being referred to a specialist Gastroenterologist again. In the meantime try sucking crystallized ginger and camomile tea.

Hi, I take motilium for nausea...it also stops the feeling, like you want to vomit...taken on an empty stomach...in the morning..about an hour later, I get hungry, and can eat my breakfast and enjoy it....it can be taken 3 times daily...but once usually works for me...it might not be available, where you live...or could come under a different name...x

OMG I have very similar issues with chronic nausea. I was diagnosed with constipation and nausea did get better after passing more stool but it's not completely resolved.

I hope you get some answers and effective treatment, OP.

Somebody gave you psychiatric drugs for nausea? If only it were possible to sue them for malpractice and abuse because that is exactly what they deserve. Please do not take psychiatric drugs. They are so very harmful.

As for your stomach, you should do breathing and massage. Light weight foods (soup, jello, applesauce) should help soothe your upset stomach. These things should help until you figure out what's bothering your belly.
