Persistant on going sinus problems for over 10 years

I do know how everyone feels with chronic sinus infections, for me it is a large part of my life, to go to and fro to the doc, I get no respite from antibiotic treatment and nasal cortasteroids, beleive me I have tried the lot. sad.

Using alteritives such as steam inhalations, and and salt water irragations for me only help for 10 mins, before all the mank has to refill.

Funnily enough I am still waiting to see an ENT specailist after 4 and a half years after breaking my nose on a shopping spree. You don't want to know.

I do also have regular bouts of tonsillitus and chesty bronchitus spells, and the reacent rainy season doesn't help the old sinus neither.

I've even lost two teeth through sinus pressure, and ears and head feel heavy, and from time to time felt dizzy and sick. This does put a kibosch into my daily routine.

I've been on so many antibiotics, however I'm also allergic to tetracycline based ones which limits on which ones i can use, and worry about the long term efficacy cycle, after a while. The side effects from some of these are old freinds to me.

There has to be an end to all this!!

Just one day, just one day sinus free is all I dream of.

Hi there, have you tried any alternative therapies? Reflexology or homeopathy would be a good start.

Try looking at this link..... could be worth a go.

Yeah, I get sinisitus, sometimes every foot step is so painful, I steam myself often and speak with a nasally voice. The only thing that help me is sudafed, and that takes time to get into the system....but gradually it works. It is a ainful thing, and it can make you very weary and sick. The pain in the head . straight across the eyeborw shaft , is the worst and thumpity thump, thmuper goes. Its not nice, not at all. Take care , and best wishe , Katy X

i know how u feel. i do have that kind of problem since i was a child. And the problem is real, there's no cure, I've tried alot too, ate many medicine and vitamins. But i gave up cuz i just accept it the way it is cuz i dont want to harm my liver by taking too much drug.. Ugh.. And now it's been around for 10 years now. I always wonder how does the people without this sickness feel, i mean, they should be thankful. I always have to avoid snowy or air conditioning places because it will just make my nose block. I just wish I could be normal for just one day is enough. I cant even breathe through my nose when im sleeping (have to be through mouth), and i cant drink cold water (my favorite), and i cant speak well (everytime i speak it sounds like duck), every morning i sneeze (never fail), every night noseblock (never fail). I just wish theres a solution.
