persistent chest infection

Hi people I have had a chest infection for a month now and its getting no better. I've also had a cold and tickly throat and a cough. I'm coughing up green mucus and have had some slight aches in my chest. I've been taking Lemsip max strength for one week. Does anyone know what I van do to get rid of this? Does anyone know what type of infection it could be? Will the doctor do anything if I go? Any help would be great.

Kind regards

Richard

Hi Richard I have had exactly the same thing.  I intend to go back to doctor tomorrow

if at all I can get an appointment.  I've had antibiotics for two weeks but no result.  ive

had bonchiactesis for ten years but have never had it like this.  I have coughed so much, my body hurts ! this is with light phlegm.   A friend has just suggested to me that drinking water with some lemon has worked for a friend of hers.  Can't do any harm anyway, so I'm off to the shops now.  I will let you know if it works
