Persistent vulvar itching. What is this and how to treat?

I am a 19-year-old female who has been having vulvar irritation since around March, so about 2 and a half months now. It started as a yeast infection (or at least, it felt like/looked like a yeast infection) with bad itching. I was at college at the time and couldn't see a doctor so I tried to treat it "naturally" with probiotics and eating low sugar Greek yogurt but that wasn't enough so I ending up buying an over-the-counter yeast infection treatment cream. I used it twice daily for a few days and the yeast infection cleared up, no itching whatsoever. However since then I have had periodical spells of itching, never as serious as in March; I can go about my day resisting the urge to itch and with only minor discomfort. The first time the itching returned was probably 2-3 weeks after the yeast infection cleared up. The only thing that seemed to help then was applying more of the anti-fungal cream that I had bought for the yeast infection. It would clear up for a few weeks and then the itching (again, not severe, but enough to make it uncomfortable) would return. As of now, I have been having itching every day for the past 2 weeks (except for a 2-day break during the first 2 days of my period). I have been taking daily probiotics which may offer minor relief but the itching will return the following day. I have not tried the cream for the past 2 weeks because I don't want to be reliant on the cream for the indefinite future, but over the past few months, nothing else had made the itching go away, and it keeps returning after a few weeks of being itch-free. I have never had sex and I am experiencing no other yeast infection symptoms. I know I should go see a doctor if the problem persists but as I am reliant on my mother to schedule and pay for my OB/GYN appointments AND I despise visiting the doctor unless it is absolutely necessary, I have been trying to see if I can treat it at home or if it would resolve on its own. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, how do I find relief from the itching once and for all? Any diagnosis ideas or treatment tips are very appreciated. Please help.

try get a pessary as they are more likely to actually clear the infection, the cream just helps symptoms. imfections can keep coming and going if they are resistant, u may need to go doctor to get a tablet mesication treatment
