Hello all, if debated for awhile about posting and asking this on here, but I feel like I need to find an answer because this is causing stress and problems in my life.

I am a 19 year old female and have recently been semi diagnosed with ibs. I was diagnosed by one doctor and have received a conflicting diagnoses of simply chronic constipation from another.

My question is this: does anyone else have pain during intercourse or during orgasm? Mine sometimes can send me into a mini attack.

I have constipation. So this isn't the worst case scenario, but the pain does get intense and kills the moment with my fiance and makes it hard for us to be intimate. We have explored if this could be ovarian cyst related, it isnt. Now I'm wondering if it could be ibs related.

I'm a guy and with these IBS symptoms I've been having, I have had groin and testicle pain. It's really uncomfortable and does cause pain. For me, the pain in the area seems to come and go.

You may suffer some form of pain when having intercourse especially if you have conspipation or Ibs, some laxitive may help you and there are many you can try over the counter at a chemist. Ask for advice, Senokot may help ease the discomfort

Has your GP given any medications for your trouble, Try not to assume a medical problem without your GPs advice and keep off Google medical if that is where you get your information

I have never had it at these times but please do not worry about embarrassment.  I once detailed an attack bit by bit as I did not know what was happening but that was a good few years ago now. I have more knowledge now.

Depends on the pain you're getting. I wouldn't think intercourse would trigger IBS but there are many things that could cause pain with it.

The pain is more often during climax than during intercourse. It is an extremely crampy pain that lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours

I would get a pelvic exam fro. Your Dr to rule anything out.

I haventhad a pap smeer, but I have had an internal ultra sound (twice) for things unrelated to this. They were done by my gynocologist when. We thought my ibs pain was due to cysts

Would that be a pelvic exam, or would I need to go back for the pap smear specifically? I have had tests run for all number of things by my gyno recently when we started this journey.

I would probably say exam but if it's been a while since a smear there's no harm in having one.
