PF and running

Hi, I'm new to this group. Training for a half marathon and realize now that the problems in my left foot are due to PF. Is it advisable not to do any running until it clears? Having just read all your posts, I realize that this recovery may not happen. I'm now wondering if I might have to pull out of the HM as I might not be able to carry on with my training. Any advice would be appreciated.

Getting bit desperat to having to write so many additional messages, but was reading Kate74385's message about the compressions socks and I would vote that they help too. I have been using socks that are for flying because I have "swollen veins" on my calfs but have also noticed they do help for the heel and sole of foot pain.

Oral painkillers I have not found that would have helped that much at all. I have been using some because of a surgery I had and at least ibuproffen and paracematol have not helped the heel pain.
