Phase anybody had cbt?

im on the waiting list of about 8-10 weeks for cbt. I have bad anxiety, I had panic attacks over most things and my symptoms are interfering with everyday life. Has anybody had cbt? Would you be able to give me some details on it?

Hi. I started face to face CBT about 2 months ago. Much of it makes sense however it hasn't helped me overcome my fear of going to the Doctor yet.  I'm not sure that it works for everyone to be honest.

Hi, what type of things do they do in cbt? Just a bit nervous but I know it should help.

Hello I noticed your comment about fear of doctors. I'm the same. Have severe health anxiety but won't go near a doc unless it's absolutely necessary. It's a massive issue isn't,t it? Perhaps you could pm me n tell me a bit about yourself? Thanks. E.

I'm terrified of doctors as well. I only go if I have to! I'm always scared I'm gonna die or I hear stories of doctors getting things wrong.. I can relate!

They offer alternative explanations to get your brain thinking differently about situations. It's logical and I know this but can't relate it to my own issues.  Don't be nervous about it. There's nothing to worry about at all. I really hope it helps you Lucy.

Hi Lucy, I have been having CBT for 9 weeks and the difference is amazing, is does not stop you getting attacks but some how it helps you deal with them.  I have also started meditaion and Thai Chi and I think that has helped although I still get a panic attack every now and then

Get a cbt workbook and become familiar with it. They are easy to find online.
