Phenibut

So I've started on phenibut 250mgs an hour ago for my social phobia and anxiety and not feeling any different yet. Says it takes an hour to kick in! Will keep you posted how I get in with it. Only plan on taking once or twice a week when in a stressful social situation..

Please be careful with this stuff. Everyone starts out planning to only take it once or twice a week but It kinda creeps up on you. It is very addictive and the withdrawals are horrible. Yes it works, although I'm not sure it will at that smaller dose, but in my opinion never take it more than twice a week and never two days in a row. Read some of the withdrawal stories on the Internet. You probably have more willpower than me but like I said please be careful x

Thanks for advice Jo, really good of you. Yes you're very right which makes me all the more cautious about taking more than 1-2 times a week. I'm an alcohol addict( can't drink anymore and was addicted to morphine and codeine a year ago, for 9 months, after an accident. So know all about addiction and withdrawel. I ended up taking 2 tablets ystd and felt very calm. Will keep you posted about it though...PILLS stand for people in life losing sobriety!!!

Not on any other meds now. Was addicted to morph one and codeine so daren't start that again. Just going to see how I get on with phenibut. I WILL NOT take more than twice a week, I promise! You've done well re not drinking. How did you stop?

I stopped by using antabuse I think I saw somewhere else that you mentioned that you'd tried it. I know it's not really prescribed anymore because it can be so dangerous but it worked for me thank god!!

Hi hon, wow you sound just like me! Been there with the alcohol (haven't drank for 12 years) and tramadol and diazepam! Phenibut really does work but with my addictive personality I soon started taking it every day then took gabapentin to help with phenibut withdrawal then had to get off the gabapentin, you know the story!! Withdrawals scare the life out of me. At the moment I am taking dihydrocodeine for 2 slipped discs and I am dreading stopping it. It's a nightmare isn't it, anxiety is just horrible x

Morning. Woke at 8 and still in bed drinking 2nd coffee! I always feel hungover for first couple of hours which I believe is seroxat 50mg(max dose) but I'd be a nervous wreck if I didn't take it! Got AA tonight and going to take 500mg phenibut to see if I feel more relaxed. Public speaking is one of my biggest fears but I have to go to AA to stay sober. How's you duckie? X

I'm ok I think! The dihydrocodeine does seem to help with my anxiety but I know it's a slippery slope and there's going to be a time when I'm going to have to come off it and go through the dreaded withdrawal again!! I think when the time comes I will taper very slowly. I hate anxiety, even only there was something you could take long term that didnt have horrible withdrawal! Are you on any other meds x
