Pheochromocytoma

I was diagnosed with a pheochromocytoma, which is rare I’m told. I’m nervous becaus the mass is 5.6 cm. My doctor doesn’t seem to think it’s not cancer. I have to go in to discuss with my endocrinologist and then to a surgeon. I have no idea what to expect. Should I be scared that this can be cancer? Or would they have a pretty good idea by looking at my ct scan. Will this help my blood pressure and other health issues after it’s removed? I’m also type 2 diabetic.
