Everyone is unique.  Myself, I sort of slid through the cracks, was ordered no phisio and when the Surgeon saw how well I was doing at my first post op apt. he told me he thought it would do nothing for me.  Strange?

My surgeon also said no physio required. Just no running for three months. Had anterior on 10/19/17. Everything has gone well. Good luck

    Dear Ducksoup

We are all so different of course and some may benefit from the push they get from physio session.

I was not offered physio when I had my first new hip twenty years ago and made a rapid recovery. All I did was walk.

Last year I had it revised and this time was offered physio by turned it down. Not sure how it would have benefited me as I made a pretty quick and easy recovery. I did do the exercises which I'm sure helped as my muscles needed building up strength. I did not do exercises with the primary hip surgery. Both times surgery was done posterior approach.

    Cheers Richard

Thanks,  I personally don’t need it right now but thought it was a Big thing in the EU.

I didn’t get offered any either. Did the exercises off the sheet that I was  given in the hospital, and then I had a physio appointment at 6 weeks where I was discharged because I was doing fine. Just told to walk and walk and walk...

I had no physio just because I can't afford it. After two years, I still have constant low-level pain, but doubt physio would have improved that.

PS Forgot to post that I did purchase a set of bike pedals after my surgery. I put them under my computer desk in place of the foot rest. I still pedal away when online. Am pretty sure it helped a lot and helped me to toss out the walking stick...
