phobophobia

Posted , 5 users are following.

One of the reasons I have a panic dissorder is because I'm afraid of the feelings it gives me, like the feeling if being scared and it's something bad to the point I'm phobic of feeling it now and that what continues my panic attacks.

I looked up phobophobia and it's pretty close to how I feel being phobic of my feelings during anxiety/panic.

Does anyone else suffer with this? And what's the best way to get rid of it?

Thank you

    Hey Brendan

I know what you are saying. I have somthing similar. I suffer from G,A,D generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorder. I get so anxious when I am driving alone late at night or early morning. I feel like if I have another attack and no one is around me to help if I need it bcoz when I have an attack I feel like am gonna die. So even on a good I am soo scared and anxiety starts creeping in on me just thinking about what anxiety does to me and makes me feel.

I feel the same way about being alone and night as well because everyone is asleep and what if this that. What helps me is laying down when im really tired. I end up waking up really early because of it and because of the meds I'm taking I think.

      Hello Kim, good morning.

It's such a bad place to be isn't it on your own. And like now for me literally the second I wake up I feel on age and unsettled and my heart is racing does. I have posted a discussion on here explaining briefly my story and I am new to this. Would like to get your opinion on it all. Also I've had some good replies that you may find useful for ur self. Your best way of sorting this is talk to your GP and they will arrange a treatment plan

You could try Relaxation Technique Mindfulness and Breathing Exersises. Both found on site
