It depends - I know a few people who say that they noticed no facial changes at all and who say they put it down to having cut carbs right from the start. Some don't gain weight - they lose weight on pred, not often, but it happens.

Joy, well the truth be known, i didn't recognize myself after one month Started last April with 25 mg and I'm decreasing very slowly, 7:5mg last time.. (last night)

Everything is now back to normal facial wise, except for my bright pink cheeks, on my face...

(not to be mistaken for the other cheeks )

Feel well JOY and just go with the flow...you will have up days and possibly a few down days, but in the end you will beat this pmr ...many posters have

written in and given us the good news that they are now cortisone free ....

EILEEN is my advisor and Guru on this forum ...Great diagnostic and extremely knowledgeable is this lovely lady ....

Not on the palms I hope? 😉

It reminds me of a joke we had at school.

What is the first sign of madness? - hair on your palms

What is the second sign? - looking for them

Been at 10/9/10mg since September, and noticed fatty pads around the back of my neck, above collar bones, and probably my cheeks as well, just this month. It doesn't bother me, other than my vanity, because I know why its there.
