Physical anxiety symptoms. HELP!

First, I’m a 20 year old female... So it started out in January very mildly. I was getting palpitations and strong chest pain every now and then, which terrified me. I had gone to multiple emergencies terrified I was having a heart attack. Then I started to get lightheaded, dizzy, anxious about my health, and definitely stressed. Every palpitation I felt, my mind went to ‘it’s a heart attack’. So I was constantly on edge and worrying.
In August I had a cardiac ablation for SVT - was a WRECK worrying about the arrhythmia. Let me just say, two weeks before my ablation, I went on vacation to a nice beach for a week - with rarely any symptoms. After my ablation, I was even more lightheaded. I kept worrying about blood clots, and the ablation not working and the healing process etc....
Here I am today. Almost bedridden, scared to leave my house, worried I’m going to faint, I lost my job, and family doesn’t understand ...
I’ve been to my cardiologist who says my heart is fine and healthy.
Ruled out brain, did blood work, X-ray, ecgs, echos.. you name it - ive probably done it.
So my GP is now labeling it down to anxiety. But I’m not convinced. How can I go from being normal exactly 1 year ago - in school & working 2 jobs- to not even being able to get out of bed now. My main fear is my lightheadedness symptom, I constantly feel like I’m going to pass out and it’s 24/7. I do find I have waves of it where it is worse- I’ve never fainted. Im not constantly anxious or panicking .. that’s why I don’t believe it’s anxiety.
I would appreciate any advice - im feeling really low at this point.

You have had lots of tests to rule out anything serious and that is good. Anxiety is horrible, but so many people suffer with it and you can overcome it.
You may not be feeling panicked or anxious all the time, but the light headed symptoms are a anxiety symptom. Anxiety also makes you believe that u are way more poorly than you actually are. Maybe that’s why you are struggling to believe that the doctors have missed something.
I have just been diagnosed myself with anxiety and it was the most terrifying time in my life. My physical symptoms were unbearable. But since I have been diagnosed and excepted help, through medication and soon to be therapy I feel so much better.
Has your doctor suggested medication to help with the anxiety? Or referred you to therapy?

it’s just so hard to accept that this whole time my own brain is making me feel this ill. All the things I’ve missed out on because of my own brain.
What kind of symptoms did you have? Did you feel like passing out too?
Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. It definitely does help to connect with people who understand

The passing out feeling I can see really is worrying you most and it will go.. once you come to a point of staying calm long enough your body has enough them to heal itself and these symptoms go I promise.. keep your mind buzy if you can.. I know some times it's that bad you can't and that's ok too don't give yourself a hard time.. just even Come on here and talk I was lucky my mum and sister both understood anxiety so they helped me a lot.. I was never out the gp office either but again they where so good with me.. they could see that just have the re assurance was helping my recovery..

Hi my symptoms were all over severe body aches, especially around my back, neck and shoulder. Loss of appetite, extreme nausea and vomiting 🤮
Foggy dizzy head. Headaches. Chest pain, blocked ears, trembling, shakes, tight chest and difficulty breathing. Sensitive to light you name it I had it. It was crazy and petrifying. I literally thought I’d been struck down by some life changing illness that I’d never get rid of because I dealt with these symptoms day and night for 4 excruciating weeks, it came out of the blue and hit me like a ton of bricks, I didn’t know what to make of it.
I am now taking citalopram 10mg for the anxiety and like I said before it’s helped. I also take probiotics everyday to. I’m a fairly positive person generally so I have been pushing myself to keep thinking this way even when I am at my worst.
It will get better, I promise. U are not on your own. There are so many people who suffer with this. Mental heath is a real issue and can affect absolutely anyone.

I got hit with bad anxiety last year around Christmas time and everything your describing I had it was so bad it became health anxiety as the physical symptoms where so real to me that I thought this can't possible be just anxiety.. I had light headedness.. convinced myself a couldn't see right but it was just because all your senses get sensitive when you in complete anxiety Mode I got worse and worse as the months went by couldn't leave my house just wanted to die even tho I was afraid of death or dieing from some horrible illness.. I feel for you it's the most debilitating thing to go through and it really helps to have support... i had heart palpitations.. racing heart too and just constant dread and unbearable fear... I never thought if ever get better.. it took my almost a year now but here I am finally getting back to normality.. I mean i still have anxious days but now I know what it is I don't panic as much I just keep buzy and it soon subsides.. I had cbt therapy but didn't feel it worked for me but we are all different and they also put me in Zoloft that your in just be aware these make you worse if you have anxiety before better they made my anxiety so bad for over 6 weeks by 10 weeks I came off as they gave me racing heart worse and I was never off the loo but again not everyone will get these side effects just saying as I wish someone told me this and I wouldn't have taken them as it sent My central nervous system worse and after that took it so long to recover and heal... I hope you feel better.. I came on here a lot when I was suffering as so many others are going through it and understand and sometimes it just gives your comfort and reassurance...

It definitely sounds like anxiety, especially after dr had done all those test. I can tell you that I have been through the same symptoms you have. I have been constantly dizzy/lightheaded for the past year. I have good and bad days. Short of breath, chest pains, stiff neck, stiff chest, neck numbness, sensation of numbness all over my body, pain, I can go on. I have been to the ER 7 times this year, seen multiple drs, had multiple blood work done, xrays, cardiologist, pulmonary test, stress test, dehydration test and so on. All came back normal. All drs have told me is anxiety. I have accepted that I have anxiety and have been managing it.

Hi Megan,
Anxiety causes the craziest physical symptoms. I didn't have anxiety issues until about a month ago. I've been to the E.R, urgent care, my PCP, my neurologist, and my chiropractor. They all told me that nothing was wrong. I had trouble believing them and I went and got an MRI. Turns out nothing was actually wrong. Anxiety is hard to live with because of the crippling physical symptoms that come along with it. I assure you, nothing is wrong with you and you just have to find ways of coping with your anxiety. I want to go back to normal too, and I've been trying to, but it will take time. Sometimes I''l jolt myself awake from sleep and think that I'm going to die that very second. I'm still here. I plan on getting some therapeutic help and I would suggest you give it a try as well. Try to distract yourself from these feelings.
