Physical pain

Hi guys,
I haven't posted in a while but my last serious anxiety attack was 7/8 month ago, I have since had mild spells of health anxiety and panic attacks. The same old symptoms have cropped up. muscle and joint pain along with random pains in my arms, feet, you name it. My GP thinks I'm fit and well and has no concerns of my physical health and puts everything down to anxiety. Can anyone relate to the physical symptoms that crop up when anxiety is heightened? Sometimes I feel like I'm sitting here waiting for the odd ache or pain to come then im straight on Google searching for possible causes. I just dont want to feel like this anymore. I have a 4 year old son and I am constantly worrying over "what if he gets poorly". i feel so isolated just worrying all the time. It probably doesnt help working from home during this pandemic.

I am exactly the same!! lots of physical random pains and sensations, always waiting for the next thing and always googling.. many tests done by the doctors, always ends up being clear and normal so its obviously anxiety but I too struggle to accept it's just anxiety. x

please take care Sophie, health anxiety is awful. I went through a stage where I was at the doctors every other day, I didnt believe what doctors were telling me. I was in a bad place, all the best lovely x

I do yes, I get pains in my arms, legs, neck, pack, chest, in the muscles and joints. shooting pains, burning pains, muscle twitching, numbness.. you name it I get it or had it. and every single time I assume its something bad.. I'm going through that phase at the moment, always ringing the doctors looking for constant reassurance. I've just started antidepressants so I'm hoping they start to help me soon! x

bless you. Im 26 years old and I always used to question why I feel like this, why me? Its a tough life living like this but its forums like this where everyone is in the same boat, struggling one way or another. but able to share our struggles. I actually use these forums as an alternative of going to the docs because I feel sometimes you get more reassurance from people who are going through the same thing. my GP has been great though. I hope the antidepressants bring alot of relief, it will get better. we are always here if you need anything!! As for the physical symptoms, remember that the brain is a powerful thing and can manifest our feelings into painful ones!! x

the physical symptoms are what I'm most worried about, I hate it on a daily basis and I'm always calling my doctor for reassurance. its the worst thing.. I definitely find alot of reassurance in these forums though, I'm glad I found it to be honest because its been a saviour on some bad days x

yep, mine are at there worst when I wake up, whether it's in the morning or if I nap in the afternoon, whenever I wake up the anxiety is awful and I feel so scared. its horrible. but symptoms are daily and on and off all day.i also start feeling rubbish towards the end of the day too so I tend to go to bed early to try and sleep it off

Yes, I'm exactly the same! The tiredness is surreal on a night, youve got to think how much stress our bodies are under during the day. Have you ever broke out in hives? My skin gets terrible, I have mild excema to start with so that slightly flares up too

I haven't as far as I'm aware but I did have a kind of pimple type rash come up and one stage and the doctors said that was stress so god knows what that was. tonight is a horrible night for me with pricking and numbness and burning sensations, do you ever get that?
